अट्ठाईसवाँ आहारपद [107 गोयमा! सोइंदियत्ताए जाव कासिदियत्ताए अणिद्वत्ताए अकंतत्ताए अप्पियत्ताए असुभत्ताए अमणुण्णत्ताए अमणामत्ताए अणिच्छियत्ताए अभिज्झियत्ताए अहत्ताए णो उद्धृत्ताए दुक्खत्ताए णो सुहत्ताए एएसि (ते तेसि) भुज्जो भुजो परिणमंति। [1805 प्र.] भगवन् ! नैरयिक जिन पुद्गलों को पाहार के रूप में ग्रहण करते हैं, वे उन पुद्गलों को बार-बार किस रूप में परिणत करते हैं ? [1805 उ.] गौतम ! वे उन पदगलों को श्रोत्रेन्द्रिय के रूप में यावत् स्पर्शेन्द्रिय के रूप में, अनिष्टरूप से, अकान्तरूप से, अप्रियरूप से, अशुभरूप से, अमनोज्ञरूप से, मनामरूप से, अनिश्चितता से (अथवा अनिच्छित रूप से), अनभिलषितरूप से, भारीरूप से, हल्केरूप से नहीं, दुःखरूप से, सुखरूप से नहीं, उन सबका बारबार परिणमन करते हैं / विवेचन आभोगनिवतित और अनाभोगनिर्वतित का स्वरूप-नारकों का आहार दो प्रकार का है—आभोगनिर्वतित और अनाभोगनिर्वतित / प्राभोगनिर्वतित का अर्थ है-इच्छापूर्वकउपयोगपूर्वक होने वाला पाहार तथा अनाभोगनिर्वतित का अर्थ है--बिना इच्छा के बिना उपयोग के होने वाला आहार। अनाभोगनिर्वतित पाहार, भव पर्यन्त प्रतिसमय निरन्तर होता रहता है। यह पाहार प्रोजसाहार आदि के रूप में होता है। प्राभोगनिर्वतित पाहार की इच्छा असंख्यात समय प्रमाण अन्तर्मुहूर्त में उत्पन्न होती है। मैं आहार करू, इस प्रकार की अभिलाषा एक अन्तमुहूर्त के अंदर पैदा हो जाती है / यही कारण है कि नारकों की आहारेच्छा अन्तर्महूर्त की कही गई हैं। यह तीसरा द्वार है।' नैरयिक किस वस्तु का पाहार करते हैं ? -द्रव्य से वे अनन्तप्रदेशी पुद्गलों का पाहार करते हैं, क्योंकि संख्यातप्रदेशी या असंख्यातप्रदेशी स्कन्ध जीव के द्वारा ग्रहण नहीं किये जा सकते, उनका ग्रहण होना सम्भव नहीं है। क्षेत्र की अपेक्षा से वे असंख्यातप्रदेशावगाढ स्कन्धों का आहार करते हैं। काल को अपेक्षा से वे जघन्य, मध्यम या उत्कृष्ट किसी भी स्थिति वाले स्कन्धों को ग्रहण करते हैं। भाव से वे वर्ण-गन्ध-रस-स्पर्श वाले द्रव्यों को आहार के रूप में ग्रहण करते हैं, क्योंकि प्रत्येक परमाणु में एक गन्ध, एक रस और दो स्पर्श अवश्य पाए जाते हैं। इसके पश्चात् एकादि वर्ण, गन्ध, रस, स्पर्श से अनेक वर्णादियुक्त आहार ग्रहण करने के विकल्प बताये गए हैं। तदनन्तर यह भी बताया गया है कि वे (नारक) आत्मप्रदेशों से स्पृष्ट द्रव्यों (सम्बद्ध पुद्गलों) का तथा नियमत: छह दिशानों से पाहार करते हैं / 2 विविध पहलुओं से नारकों के प्राहार के विषय में प्ररूपणा-नारक वर्ण की अपेक्षा प्रायः काले-नीले वर्ण वाले, रस की अपेक्षा तिक्त और कटक रस वाले, गन्ध की अपेक्षा दुर्गन्ध वाले तथा स्पर्श से कर्कश, गुरु, शीत और रूक्ष स्पर्श वाले अशुभ द्रव्यों का पाहार करते हैं। यहाँ बहुलतासूचक शब्द'प्रोसन्न' का प्रयोग किया गया है। जिसका आशय यह है कि अशुभ अनुभाव वाले मिथ्यावृष्टि नारक ही प्रायः उक्त कृष्णवर्ण ग्रादि वाले द्रव्यों का आहार करते हैं। किन्तु जो नारक आगामी भव में तीर्थकर आदि होने वाले हैं, वे ऐसे द्रव्यों का पाहार नहीं करते। 1, 2. प्रज्ञापना (हरिभद्रीय टीका) भा. 5, पृ. 549 से 552
