[प्रज्ञापनासूत्र स्थिति का निरूपण किया गया है। इसके पश्चात् यह निरूपण किया गया है कि एकेन्द्रिय से लेकर संज्ञी-असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय तक के जीव ज्ञानावरणीयादि पाठ कर्मों में से किस कर्म का कितने काल का बन्ध करते हैं ? तथा ज्ञानावरणीय आदि पाठों कर्मों की जघन्य स्थिति और उत्कृष्ट स्थिति को बांधने वाले कौन-कौन जीव हैं ? * चौवीसवें 'कर्मबन्ध-पद' में बताया गया है कि चौवीस दण्डकवर्ती जीव ज्ञानावरणीय आदि किसी एक कर्म को बांधता हुअा, अन्य किन-किन कर्मों को बाँधता है, अर्थात् कितने अन्य कर्मों को बांधता है ? * पच्चीसवें कर्मबन्ध-वेदपद में बताया गया है कि जीव आठ कर्मों में से किसी एक कर्म को बांधता हुआ, अन्य किन-किन कर्मप्रकृतियों का वेदन करता है ? छब्बीसवें कर्मवेद-बन्धपद में कहा गया है कि जीव पाठ कर्मों में से किसी एक कर्म को वेदता हुआ, अन्य कितने कर्मों का बन्ध करता है ? * सत्ताईसवें 'कर्मवेद-वेदकपद' में कहा गया है कि जीव किसी एक कर्म के वेदन के साथ किन अन्य कर्मप्रकृतियों का वेदन करता है ? * प्रस्तुत पांचों पदों के निरूपण द्वारा शास्त्रकार ने स्पष्ट ध्वनित कर दिया है कि जीव कर्म करने और फल भोगने में, नये कर्म बांधने तथा समभावपूर्वक कर्मफल भोगने में स्वतन्त्र है तथा कर्मसिद्धान्त के प्रतिपादन का उद्देश्य देवगति या अमुक प्रकार के शरीरादि की उपलब्धि करना नहीं है। अपित कर्मों से सदा-सर्वदा के लिए मुक्ति पाना, जन्म-मरण से छटकारा पाना ही उसका लक्ष्य है। इसी में प्रात्मा के पुरुषार्थ की पूर्णता है तथा यही प्रात्मा के शुद्ध, सिद्ध-बुद्धमुक्तस्वरूप की उपलब्धि है। इस चतुर्थ पुरुषार्थ-मोक्ष के लिए पुण्यरूप या पापरूप दोनों प्रकार के कर्म त्याज्य हैं / सम्यग्दर्शन, सम्यग्ज्ञान और सम्यकचारित्र एवं सम्यक्तप ही मोक्ष-पुरुषार्थ के परम साधन हैं जो कर्मक्षय के लिए नितान्त आवश्यक हैं / प्रात्मा अपने पुरुषार्थ के द्वारा क्रमशः कर्मनिर्जरा करता हुअा अात्मा की विशुद्धतापूर्वक सर्वथा कर्मक्षय कर सकता है। यही तथ्य शास्त्रकार के द्वारा ध्वनित किया गया है। 00
