इक्कीसवा अवगाहना-संस्थान-पद] लम्बाई की अपेक्षा जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना) यावत पृथ्वी-अप्-तेजो-वायु-वनस्पतिकायिक तक पूर्ववत् समझनी चाहिए। 1547. [1] बेइंदियस्स गं भंते ! मारणंतियसमुग्धाएणं समोहयस्स तेयासरीरस्स केमहालिया सरीरोगाहणा पण्णता? गोयमा ! सरीरपमाणमेत्ता विक्खंभ-बाहल्लेणं; आयामेणं जहण्णेणं अंगुलस्स असंखेज्जइभाग, उक्कोसेणं तिरियलोगाओ लोगंतो। [1547-1 प्र.] भगवन् ! मारणान्तिक समुद्धात से समवहत द्वीन्द्रिय के तैजसशरीर की अवगाहना कितनी बड़ी कही गई है ? [उ.] गौतम ! विष्कम्भ अर्थात्-उदर आदि विस्तार, एवं बाहल्य, अर्थात्-वक्षस्थल एवं पृष्ठ (पीठ) को मोटाई की अपेक्षा से शरीरप्रमाणमात्र होती है। (तथा) लम्बाई की अपेक्षा से जघन्य अंगुल के असंख्यातवें भाग की और उत्कृष्ट तिर्यक् (मध्य) लोक से (ऊर्ध्वलोकान्त या अधो-) लोकान्त तक अवगाहना समझनी चाहिए। [2] एवं जाव चरिंदियस्स / [1547-2] इसी प्रकार यावत् चतुरिन्द्रिय तक के (जीवों के तेजसशरीर की अवगाहना समझ लेना चाहिए।) 1548. रइयस्स गं भंते ! मारणंतियसमुग्घाएणं समोहयस्स तेयासरीरस्स केमहालिया सरीरोगाहणा पण्णत्ता? गोयमा ! सरीरपमाणमेत्ता विक्खंभ-बाहल्लेणं; आयामेणं जहणणं सातिरेगं जोयणसहस्सं, उक्कोसेणं अहे जाव अहेसत्तमा पुढवी, तिरियं जाव सयंभुरमणे समुद्दे, उड्ढं जाव पंडगवणे पुक्खरिणीओ। [1548 प्र] भगवन् ! मारणान्तिक समुद्धात से समवहत नारक के तैजसशरीर की अवगाहना कितनी कही गई है ?
