(उ) एवं सूरविमाणस्सवि पुच्छा ? गोयमा ! सोलस देवसाहस्सीओ परिवहंति पुश्वकमेणं / एवं गहविमाणस्सवि पुच्छा ? गोयमा ! प्रदु देवसाहस्सीनो परिवहंति पुष्बकमेणं / दो देवाणं साहस्सोओ पुरथिमिल्लं बाहं परिवहंति, दो देवाणं साहस्सोओ दक्खिणिल्लं०, दो देवाणं साहस्सीओ पच्चत्थिमं, दो देवसाहस्सोश्रो उत्तरिल्लं बाहं परिवहति / एवं गक्खत्तविमाणस्स वि पुच्छा? गोयमा ! चत्तारि देवसाहस्सीओ परिवहंति सीहरूबधारीणं देवाणं दस देवसया पुरथिमिल्लं बाहं परिवहंति एवं चउद्दिसि / एवं तारगाणपि गवरं दो देवसाहस्सीओ परिवहंति, सीहरूबधारोणं देवाणं पंचदेवसया पुरथिमिल्लं बाहं परिवहंति एबं चउद्दिसि / 194. (उ) सूर्य के विमान के विषय में भी यही प्रश्न करना चाहिए। गौतम ! सोलह हजार देव पूर्वक्रम के अनुसार सूर्यविमान को वहन करते हैं / इसी प्रकार ग्रह विमान के विषय में प्रश्न करने पर भगवान् ने कहा-गौतम ! आठ हजार देव ग्रहविमान को वहन करते हैं। दो हजार देव पूर्व की तरफ से, दो हजार देव दक्षिणदिशा से, दो हजार देव पश्चिमदिशा से और दो हजार देव उत्तर की दिशा से ग्रहविमान को उठाते हैं / नक्षत्रविमान की पृच्छा होने पर भगवान् ने कहागौतम ! चार हजार देव नक्षत्रविमान को वहन करते हैं। एक हजार देव सिंह का रूप धारण कर पूर्वदिशा की ओर से वहन करते हैं। इसी तरह चारों दिशाओं से चार हजार देव नक्षत्रविमान को वहन करते हैं। इसी प्रकार ताराविमान को दो हजार देव वहन करते हैं। पांच सौ-पांच सौ देव चारों दिशाओं से ताराविमान को वहन करते हैं / 195. एएसि णं भंते ! चंदिमसूरियगहणक्खत्तताराख्वाणं कयरे कयरेहितो सिग्घगई वा मंदगई वा? गोयमा ! चंदेहितो सूरा सिग्घगई, सूरेहितो गहा सिग्घगई, गहेहितो नक्खत्ता सिग्घगई, णक्खत्तेहितो तारा सिग्धगई / सन्वष्पगइ चंदा सम्वसिग्घगइओ तारारूवे / एएसि णं भंते ! चंदिम जाव तारारूवाणं कयरे कयरेहितो अप्पिडिया वा महिड्डिया वा? गोयमा ! तारास्वहितो नक्खत्ता महिड्डिया, नक्खतेहित्तो गहा महिटिया, गहेहितो सूरा महिडिया, सूरेहितो चंदा महिड्डिया / सवप्पिड्डिया तारारूवा सव्व महिड्डिया चंदा। 195. भगवन् ! इन चन्द्र, सूर्य, ग्रह, नक्षत्र और ताराओं में कौन किससे शीघ्रगति वाले हैं और कौन मंदगति वाले हैं ? गौतम ! चन्द्र से सूर्य तेजगति वाले हैं, सूर्य से ग्रह शीघ्रगति वाले हैं, ग्रह से नक्षत्र शीघ्रगति वाले हैं और नक्षत्रों से तारा शीघ्रगति वाले हैं। सबसे मन्दगति चन्द्रों की है और सबसे तीव्रगति ताराओं की है। भगवन् ! इन चन्द्र यावत् तारारूप में कौन किससे अल्प ऋद्धि वाले हैं और कौन महाऋद्धि वाले हैं ? गौतम ! तारारूप से नक्षत्र महद्धिक हैं, नक्षत्र से ग्रह महद्धिक हैं, ग्रहों से सूर्य महद्धिक हैं और सूर्यों से चन्द्रमा महद्धिक हैं। सबसे अल्पऋद्धि वाले तारारूप हैं और सबसे महद्धिक चन्द्र हैं /
