38] [जीवानीवाभिगमसूत्र भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र समचक्रवाल रूप से संस्थित है या विषमचक्रवालसंस्थान से संस्थित है ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र समचक्रवाल रूप से संस्थित है, विषमचक्रवाल रूप से नहीं। भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र का चक्रवालविष्कंभ कितना है और उसकी परिधि कितनी है ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र पाठ लाख योजन का चक्रवालविष्कंभ से है और इक्यानवै लाख सत्तर हजार छह सौ पांच योजन से कुछ अधिक उसकी परिधि है। (एक हजार योजन उसकी गहराई है।) वह एक पद्मवरवेदिका और एक वनखंड से परिवेष्टित है / दोनों का वर्णनक कहना चाहिए। भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र के कितने द्वार हैं ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र के चार द्वार हैं---विजय, वैजयंत, जयंत और अपराजित / भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र का विजयद्वार कहां स्थित है ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र के पूर्व दिशा के अन्त में और पुष्करवरद्वीप के पूर्वार्ध के पश्चिम में शीतोदा महानदी के ऊपर कालोदसमुद्र का विजयद्वार है / वह पाठ योजन का ऊँचा है आदि प्रमाण पूर्ववत् यावत् राजधानी पर्यन्त जानना चाहिए / भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र का वैजयंतद्वार कहां है ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र के दक्षिण पर्यन्त में, पुष्करवरद्वीप के दक्षिणार्ध भाग के उत्तर में कालोदसमुद्र का वैजयंतद्वार है।। भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र का जयन्तद्वार कहां है ? गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र के पश्चिमान्त में, पुष्करवरद्वीप के पश्चिमाई के पूर्व में शीता महानदी के ऊपर जयंत नाम का द्वार है। भगवन् ! कालोदसमुद्र का अपराजितद्वार कहां है। गौतम ! कालोदसमुद्र के उत्तरार्ध के अन्त में और पुष्करवरद्वीप के उत्तरार्ध के दक्षिण में कालोदसमुद्र का अपराजितद्वार है। शेष वर्णन पूर्वोक्त जम्बूद्वीप के अपराजितद्वार के समान जानना चाहिए / (विशेष यह है कि राजधानी कालोदसमुद्र में कहनी चाहिए।) भगवन ! कालोदसमुद्र के एक द्वार से दूसरे का अपान्तराल अन्तर कितना है ? गौतम ! बावीस लाख बानवै हजार छह सौ छियालीस योजन और तीन कोस का एक द्वार से दूसरे द्वार का अन्तर है। (चारों द्वारों की मोटाई 18 योजन कालोदसमुद्र की परिधि में से घटाने पर 1. उक्तं च-अठेव सयसहस्सा कालोमो चक्कवालयो रु'दो। जोयणसहस्समेगं प्रोगाहेण मुणयन्वो // 1 // इगनउइसयसहस्सा हवंति तह सत्तरि सहस्सा य / छच्च सया पंचहिया कालोयहिपरिरमो एसो // 2 //
