ततीय प्रतिपत्ति: विमानों के विषय में प्रश्न [277 जम्बूद्वीप में सर्वोत्कृष्ट दिन में कर्कसंक्रान्ति के प्रथम दिन में सूर्य सैंतालीस हजार दो सौ सठ योजन और एक योजन के 6 भाग (इक्कीस साठिया भाग) जितनी दूरी से उदित होता हुमा दीखता है।' 47263 10 योजन उसका उदयक्षेत्र है और इतना ही उसका अस्तक्षेत्र है। उदयक्षेत्र और अस्तक्षेत्र मिलकर 9452610 योजन क्षेत्र का परिमाण होता है। यह एक अवकाशान्तर का परिमाण है। यहां ऐसे तीन अवकाशान्तर होने से उसका परिमाण अट्ठाईस लाख तीन हजार पांच सौ अस्सी योजन और एक योजन के भाग (28,03,58060) इतना उस देव के एक पदन्यास का परिमाण होता है। इतने सामर्थ्यवाला कोई देव लगातार एक दिन, दो दिन उत्कृष्ट छह मास तक चलता रहे तो भी उन विमानों में से किन्हीं का पार पा सकता है और किन्हीं का नहीं / इतने बड़े वे विमान हैं / स्वस्तिक आदि विमानों की महत्ता के विषय में यह उपमा है / अचिः, अचिरावर्त प्रादि की महत्ता के उत्तर में वही सब जानना चाहिए-अन्तर यह है कि यहां पांच अवकाशान्तर जितना क्षेत्र उस देव के एक पदन्यास का प्रमाण समझना चाहिए / काम, कामावर्त आदि विमानों की महत्ता में भी वही सब जानना चाहिए, केवल देव के पदन्यास का प्रमाण सात अवकाशान्तर समझना चाहिए। विजय, वैजयंत, जयंत और अपराजितों के विषय में भी वही जानना चाहिए / अन्तर यह है कि यहाँ नौ अवकाशान्तर जितना क्षेत्र उस देव के एक पदन्यास का प्रमाण समझना चाहिए। हे प्रायुष्मन् श्रमण ! वे विमान इतने बड़े हैं / // प्रथम तिर्यक् उद्देशक पूर्ण / / 1. जावइ उदेइ सूरो जावइ सो अत्थमेइ अवरेणं / तियपणसत्तनवगुणं काउं पत्तेयं पत्तयं // 1 // सीयालीस सहस्सा दो य सया जोयणाण तेबट्टा / इगवीस सद्विभागा कक्खडमाइंमि पेच्छ नरा // 2 // 2. एवं दुगुणं काउं गुणिज्जए तिपणसत्तमाईहिं / मागयफलं च जं तं कमपरिमाणं बियाणाहि // 3 // चत्तारि वि सकम्मेहि, चंडाइगईहिं जंति छम्मास / तहवि य न जंति पारं केसिंचि सुरा विमाणाई॥४॥
