224] [जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र ___ मेयवसापूयरुहिरमंसचिक्खिल्ललित्ताणुलेवणतला-उन नरकावासों का भूमितल मेद, चर्बी, पूति (पीप), खून और मांस के कीचड़ से सना हुआ है, पुनः पुनः अनुलिप्त है। " असुइबीभच्छा–मेदादि के कीचड़ के कारण अशुचिरूप होने से अत्यन्त घृणोत्पादक और बीभत्स हैं / उन्हें देखने मात्र से ही अत्यन्त ग्लानि होती है। परमदुभिगंधा-वे नरकावास अत्यन्त दुर्गन्ध वाले हैं। उनसे वैसी दुर्गन्ध निकलती रहती है जैसे मरे हुए जानवरों के कलेवरों से निकलती है / काउअगणिवण्णाभा-लोहे को धमधमाते समय जैसे अग्नि की ज्वाला का वर्ण बहुत काला हो जाता है-इस प्रकार के वर्ण के वे नरकावास हैं / अर्थात् वर्ण की अपेक्षा से अत्यन्त काले हैं / कक्खडफासा-उन नरकावासों का स्पर्श अत्यन्त कर्कश है। असिपत्र (तलवार की धार) की तरह वहाँ का स्पर्श अति दुःसह है / दुरहियासा-वे नरकावास इतने दुःखदायी है कि उन दुःखों को सहन करना बहुत ही कठिन होता है। असुभा वेयणा-वे नरकावास बहुत ही अशुभ हैं ! देखने मात्र से ही उनकी अशुभता मालूम होती है। वहाँ के वर्ण, गंध, रस, स्पर्श और शब्द-~सब अशुभ ही अशुभ हैं तथा वहाँ जीवों को जो वेदना होती है वह भी अतीव असातारूप होती है अतएव 'अशुभवेदना' ऐसा विशेषण दिया गया है। नरकावासों में उक्त प्रकार की तीन एवं दुःसह वेदनाएँ होती हैं। रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी को लेकर जो वक्तव्यता कही है, वही वक्तव्यता शर्करापृथ्वी के सम्बन्ध में भी है। केवल शर्करापृथ्वी की मोटाई तथा उसके नरकावासों की संख्या का विशेषण उसके साथ जोड़ना चाहिए। उदाहरण के लिए शर्कराप्रभा-पृथ्वी संबंधी पाठ इस प्रकार होगा-~ 'सक्करप्पमाए णं भंते ! पुढवीए बत्तीसुत्तर-जोयणसयसहस्सबाहल्लाए उरि केवइयं ओगाहित्ता हेट्ठा केवइयं वज्जेत्ता मज्झे चेव केवइए केवइया णिरयावाससयसहस्सा पण्णत्ता ? गोयमा ! सक्करप्पभाए बत्तीसुत्तर-जोयणसयसहस्सबाहल्लाए उरि एग जोयणसहस्समोगाहित्ता हेवा एगं जोयणसहस्सं वज्जेत्ता मज्झे तीसुत्तर जोयणसयसहस्से, एत्थ णं सक्करप्पभाए पुढविनेरइयाणं पणवीसा नरयावाससय सहस्सा भवंति ति मक्खाय, ते णं णरगा अंतो वट्टा जाव असुभानरएसु वेयणा / ' इसी प्रकार बालुकाप्रभा, पंकप्रभा धूमप्रभा, और तमःप्रभा तथा अधः सप्तमपृथ्वी तक का पाठ कहना चाहिए। सब पृथ्वियों का बाहल्य और नरकावासों की संख्या निम्न कोष्ठक से जानना चाहिए 1. इस संबंध में निम्न संगहणी गाथाएँ उपयोगी हैं: पासीयं बत्तीसं अट्ठावीसं तहेव वीसं च / अट्ठारस सोलसगं अट्ठत्तरमेव हिट्ठिमया // 1 // अट्टत्तरं च तीसं छन्वीसं चेव सयसहस्सं तु / अट्ठारस सोलसगं चोइसमाहियं तु छट्टीए // 2 // अद्धतिवण्णसहस्सा उवरिमहे वज्जिऊण भणिया। मज्झे तिसु सहस्सेसु होंति निरया तमतमाए // 3 // तीसा य पण्णवीसा पण्णरस दस चेव सयसहस्साइ / तिन्नि य पंचणेग पंचेव अणत्तरा निरया // 4 //
