202] [जीवाजीवाभिगमसूत्र नरकभूमि के नीचे घनोदधि है, इसके नीचे बनवात है, इसके नीचे तनुवात है और इसके नीचे आकाश है। आकाश के बाद दूसरी नरकभूमि है। दूसरी और तीसरी नरकभूमि के बीच में भी क्रमश: घनोदधि, घनवात, तनुवात और आकाश है / इसी तरह सातवीं नरकपृथ्वी तक सब भूमियों के नीचे उसी क्रम से घनोदधि आदि हैं / अब सूत्रकार रत्नकाण्डादि का बाहल्य (मोटाई) बताते हैं - रत्नादिकाण्डों का बाहल्य 72. इमोसे णं भंते ! रयणप्पभाएपुढवीए खरकंडे केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते ? गोयमा ! सोलस जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते। इमोसे णं भंते ! रयणप्पभाएपुढवीए रयणकडे केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते ? गोयमा ! एक्कं जोयणसहस्सं बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते / एवं जाव रिठे। इमोसे गं भंते ! रयणप्पभाएपुढवीए पंकबहुले कंडे केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते? गोयमा ! चउरसीति जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते। इमीसे गं भंते ! रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए आवबहुल्ले कंडे केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते ? गोयमा ! असीति जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते। इमोसे णं भंते ! रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए घणोदही केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते ? गोयमा ! बीसं जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते। इमीसे गं भंते ! रयणप्पभाए पुढवीए घणवाए केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते ? गोयमा! असंखेज्जइं जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते / एवं तणुवाए वि, प्रोवासंतरे वि। सक्करप्पमाए णं पुढवीए घणोदही केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते ? गोयमा! बीसं जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते। सक्करप्पभाए णं पुढवीए घणबाए केवइयं बाहल्लेणं पण्णते? गोयमा ! असंखेज्जाई जोयणसहस्साई बाहल्लेणं पण्णत्ते / एवं तणुवाए वि, प्रोवासंतरे वि। जहा सक्करप्पभाए पुढवीए एवं जाव अहेसत्तमाए। [72] भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी का खरकाण्ड कितनी मोटाई वाला कहा गया है ? गौतम ! सोलह हजार योजन की मोटाई वाला कहा गया है / भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी का रत्नकाण्ड कितनी मोटाई वाला है ? गौतम ! वह एक हजार योजन की मोटाई वाला है। इसी प्रकार रिष्टकाण्ड तक की मोटाई जानना ! भगवन् ! इस रत्नप्रभापृथ्वी का पंकबहुल कांड कितनी मोटाई का है ? गौतम! वह चौरासी हजार योजन की मोटाई वाला है।
