सन् १९५८ में पूज्य घासीलाल जी महाराजकृत आवश्यकसूत्र संस्कृत व्याख्या हिन्दी व गुजराती अनुवाद के साथ जैनशास्त्रोद्धार समिति राजकोट ने प्रकाशित किया।
सन् १९८६ में आवश्यकसूत्र गुजराती अनुवाद के साथ भीमसी माणेक बम्बई ने और सन् १९२४ से १९२७ तक आगमोदय समिति बम्बई ने गुजराती अनुवाद प्रकाशित कर अपनी साहित्यिक रुचि का परिचय दिया। वीर संवत् २४४६ में आचार्य अमोलकऋषि जी ने ३२ आगमों का जो हिन्दी अनुवाद प्रकाशित किया, उस लड़ी की कड़ी में आवश्यकसूत्र भी प्रकाशित हुआ।
आवश्यकसूत्र का मूल पाठ भी अनेक स्थलों से प्रकाशित हुआ है। गुड़गाँव छावनी से सन् १९५४ में मुनि फूलचन्दजी 'पुप्फभिक्खु' ने सुत्तागमे का प्रकाशन करवाया, उसमें तथा सैलाना से सन् १९८४ में प्रकाशित 'अंगपविट्ठसुत्ताणि' में मूल पाठ प्रकाशित हुआ है। आगमप्रभावक मुनि पुण्यविजयजी महाराज ने जैन आगमग्रन्थमाला के अन्तर्गत ईस्वी सन् १९७७ में श्री महावीर जैन विद्यालय बम्बई से 'दसवेयालियसुत्तं उत्तरज्झयणाई आवस्सयसुत्तं' शीर्षक से प्रकाशित हुआ है। यह अनेक ग्रन्थों के टिप्पण, सूत्रानुक्रम, शब्दानुक्रम, विशेषनामानुक्रम आदि अनेक परिशिष्टों के साथ प्रकाशित है। शोधार्थियों के लिये बहुत ही उपयोगी है।
__ संवत् २००७ में सन्मति ज्ञानपीठ आगरा से सामायिकसूत्र और श्रमणसूत्र हिन्दी विवेचन सहित प्रकाशित हुआ है। प्रस्तुत संस्करण और सम्पादन
समय-समय पर आवश्यकसूत्र पर बहुत लिखा गया है और विभिन्न स्थानों से उसका प्रकाशन भी हुआ है। उसी प्रकाशन की धवल परम्परा में प्रस्तुत प्रकाशन भी है। श्रमण संघ के युवाचार्य स्वर्गीय पण्डितप्रवर मधुकर मिश्रीमलजी महाराज की यह हार्दिक इच्छा थी कि आगम बत्तीसी का प्रकाशन हो। उनके संयोजकत्व और प्रधान संपादकत्व में आगम प्रकाशन का कार्य प्रारम्भ हुआ। स्वल्प समय में ही अनेक आगमों के शानदार प्रकाशन हुये। पर परिताप है कि युवाचार्यश्री की कमनीय कल्पना उनके जीवन काल में पूर्ण नहीं हो सकी। सन् १९८३ में उनका स्वर्गवास हो गया। उनके स्वर्गवास से एक महामनीषी सन्तरत्न की क्षति हुई। उनकी हार्दिक इच्छा को मूर्त रूप देने का उत्तरदायित्व संपादक मंडल और प्रकाशन समिति का था। प्रसन्नता है संपादक मंडल और प्रकाशन समिति ने अपना उत्तरदायित्व निष्ठा के साथ निभाया है और अनेक मूर्धन्य मनीषियों के सहयोग से इस कार्य को सम्पन्न करने का संकल्प किया है । आवश्यकसूत्र के संपादन का श्रेय परम विदुषी साध्वीरत्न उमरावकुँवरजी 'अर्चना' की सुशिष्या विदुषी महासती श्री सुप्रभाजी एम. ए., साहित्यरत्न, सिद्धान्ताचार्य को है। इसमें शुद्ध मूल पाठ, विशिष्ट शब्दों का अर्थ, भावार्थ और साथ ही आवश्यक विवेचन दिया गया है, अतएव यह संस्करण सर्वसाधारण के लिये उपयोगी सिद्ध होगा। उन्होंने बहुत ही लगन के साथ इस ग्रन्थरत्न का संपादन किया है। साध्वी सुप्रभाजी उदीयमान लेखिका तथा विविध विषयों की ज्ञाता हैं । महामनीषी, आगमप्रकाशन माला के प्राण पण्डित शोभाचन्द्रजी भारिल्ल ने अपनी कलम के स्पर्श से संपादन को निखारा है। भारिल्लजी की पैनी दृष्टि से संपादन में चार चाँद लग गये हैं। आशा है अन्य आगमों की भांति यह आगम भी जनमानस में समादृत होगा।
आवश्यकसूत्र पर बहुत ही विस्तार से प्रस्तावना लिखने का मेरा विचार था पर अन्यान्य ग्रन्थों के लेखन में व्यस्त होने से संक्षेप में ही कुछ लिख गया हूँ, उसका सारा श्रेय महामहिम विश्वसन्त अध्यात्मयोगी पूज्य गुरुदेव उपाध्याय श्री पुष्करमुनिजी महाराज की महती कृपा-दृष्टि को है। उनकी महान कृपा से ही मैं लेखन के क्षेत्र में कुछ कार्य कर सका हूँ। आवश्यकसूत्र के रहस्य को समझने के लिये यह प्रस्तावना कुछ उपयोगी होगी तो मैं अपना श्रम सार्थक समझंगा। आज
