[४२९ उन्नीसवें उद्देशक का सारांशसूत्र १-७ औषध के लिए क्रीत आदि दोष लगाना, विशिष्ट औषध की तीन मात्रा (खुराक)
से अधिक लाना, औषध को विहार में साथ रखना तथा औषध के परिकर्म सम्बन्धी दोषों का सेवन करगा, चार संध्या में स्वाध्याय करना, कालिकसूत्र की ९ गाथा एवं दृष्टिवाद की २१ गाथाओं से ज्यादा पाठ का
अस्वाध्याय काल में (अर्थात् उत्काल में) उच्चारण करना, ११-१२ चार महामहोत्सव एवं उनके बाद की चार महा प्रतिपदा के दिन स्वाध्याय करना,

उपसंहार-इस उद्देशक के प्रारम्भ में औषध विषयक कथन किया गया है। शेष सभी सूत्रों में स्वाध्याय एवं अध्ययन-अध्यापन सम्बन्धी विषयों का कथन है। एक साथ इतनी स्पष्टता के साथ किए गए प्रायश्चित्त विधान से यहां पर श्रुत स्वाध्याय एवं अध्यापन सम्बन्धी पूर्ण विधियों का क्रमिक एवं स्पष्ट निर्देश किया गया है । इस प्रकार कुल दो विषयों में उद्देशक पूर्ण हो जाता है । इसमें स्वाध्याय सम्बन्धी अन्य प्रागमों में उक्त या अनुक्त सामग्री का एक साथ अनुपम संग्रह हुआ है, यह इस उद्देशक की विशेषता है। इस उद्देशक के १२ सूत्रों के विषयों का कथन निम्न आगमों में है, यथासूत्र ६ ___ ग्लान के लिए औषध की तीन दत्ति से अधिक लेने का निषेध -ठाणं अ.३ चार संध्या में स्वाध्याय नहीं करना
