[निशीथसूत्र
१९-२० गृहस्थ से कौतुक प्रश्न करना या उनका उत्तर देना। २१ भूतकाल सम्बन्धी निमित्त बताना । २२-२४ लक्षण, व्यंजन या स्वप्न का फल बताना । २५-२७ गृहस्थ के लिये विद्या, मन्त्र या योग का प्रयोग करना। २८ गृहस्थ को मार्गादि बताना । २९-३० गृहस्थ को धातु या निधि बताना । ३१-४१ पात्र, दर्पण, तलवार आदि सूत्रोक्त पदार्थों में अपना प्रतिबिम्ब देखना। ४२-४५ स्वस्थ होते हुए भी वमन-विरेचन करना या औषध सेवन करना । ४६-६३ पार्श्वस्थ, कुशील, अवसन्न, संसक्त, नित्यक, काथिक, पश्यनीक (प्रेक्षणिक), मामक,
सांप्रसारिक इन नौ को वन्दन करना या इनकी प्रशंसा करना। ६४-७८ उत्पादन के दोषों का सेवन कर आहार ग्रहण करना एवं खाना । इत्यादि
प्रवृत्तियाँ करने पर लघुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त आता है।
इस उद्देशक के ४१ सूत्रों के विषय का कथन निम्न आगमों में है, यथा१-११ जीव विराधना वाले स्थानों में तथा बिना दिवाल वाले ऊँचे स्थानों पर ठहरने का निषेध ।
