दसवां उद्देशक . प्राचार्यादि के अविनय करने का प्रायश्चित्त
१. जे भिक्खू भदंतं आगाढं वयइ, वयंतं वा साइज्जइ । २. जे भिक्खू भदंतं फरुसं वयइ, वयंतं वा साइज्जइ। ३. जे भिक्खू भदंतं आगाढं फरुसं वयइ, वयंत वा साइज्जइ । ४. जे भिक्खू भदंतं अण्णयरीए अच्चासायणाए अच्चसाएइ, अच्चासाएंतं वा साइज्जइ ।
१. जो भिक्षु प्राचार्य आदि को रोषयुक्त वचन बोलता है या बोलने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
२. जो भिक्षु प्राचार्य प्रादि को स्नेहरहित रूक्ष वचन बोलता है या बोलने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
३. जो भिक्षु प्राचार्य आदि को रोषयुक्त रूक्ष वचन बोलता है या बोलने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
४. जो भिक्षु आचार्य आदि की तेतीस पाशातनाओं में से किसी भी प्रकार की पाशातना करता है या करने वाले का अनुमोदन करता है।
(उसे गुरुचौमासी प्रायश्चित्त पाता है।)
विवेचन-जाति आदि निम्न सत्तरह विषयों को लेकर आचार्य आदि को आगाढ और फरुस वचन कहे जा सकते हैं, यथा
१ जाति २ कुल ३ रूव ४ भासा ५ धण ६ बल ७ परियाय ८ जस ९ तवे १० लाभे। ११ सत्त १२ वय १३ बुद्धि १४ धारण, १५ उग्गह १६ सीले १७ समायारी ॥२६०९॥
प्राचार्य आदि को ऐसा स्पष्ट कहना कि "तुम तो हीन जाति के हो" अथवा व्यंग्ययुक्त वाक्य से कहना कि “आप बड़े ही जातिसम्पन्न हैं, मैं तो हीन जाति वाला हूँ।"
इसी तरह कुल, रूप आदि से भी समझ लेना चाहिये।
आगाढं-शरीरस्य उष्मा येन उक्तेन जायते तमागाढं-जिस वचन के बोलने से भीतर का कषाय प्रकट होता है।
फरुस–णेहरहियं णिप्पिवासं फरुस भण्णति-स्नेहरहित अप्रिय वचन, अर्थात् रोषयुक्त न होते हुए भी जो वचन सुनने वाले को अप्रिय लगते हैं, हृदय में चुभने वाले होते हैं ।
आगाढफरुस-गाढफरुसं उभयं, ततियसुत्ते संजोगो दोण्ह वि-जो वचन रोषयुक्त भी हो तथा अप्रिय भी हो।
