## Second Prabhrita - Second Prabhrita Prabhrita ]
2. When the Sun transits from one mandala to another, it detaches the *kanna-kala* (ear-point). However, it does not go completely through it in half the time. When it goes completely through it, it does not leave the mandala-kala. This is the special feature of it.
There, those who said this -
"When the Sun transits from one mandala to another, it detaches the *kanna-kala* (ear-point) at that particular place, and not by this means,"
The Sun, desiring to transit from one mandala to another, detaches the *kanna-kala* (ear-point) of the next mandala from the first moment onwards. This is the contemplation here - "Like Bharat or Airavata, the Sun, having risen in its own place, aims at the *kanna* (ear-point) of the next mandala, which is the first koti-bhaga (part), and gradually detaches the next mandala with that particular *kala* (time), and moves in that way." By which, when that day and night have passed, it is present at the beginning of the next mandala. The *kanna-kala* (ear-point) should be understood as a specific action, and it should be contemplated in this way - "The Sun detaches the next mandala, aiming at the *kanna* (ear-point), which is the first koti-bhaga (part) of the next mandala, from the first moment onwards, moment by moment, as it is crossed by the *kala* (time)." - Surya. Tika.
