[Surya Prajnapti Sutra]
The circumference of the third circle is obtained by adding 18 yojanas to the circumference of the second circle. In this way, the circumference of each circle can be determined.
To know how much the Sun's speed increases in one muhurta in each circle, this formula should be used:
Increase in circumference of each circle / 60 muhurtas.
There is an increase of 18 yojanas in the circumference of each circle. Dividing it by 60 muhurtas will give the speed increase in one muhurta.
18 yojanas (increase in circumference of each circle) / 60 muhurtas = 18/60 yojanas increase in speed per muhurta.
**Method to determine the difference in the Sun's visual path area**
To determine the difference in the Sun's visual path area in each circle, the following formula should be used:
The Sun's speed in one muhurta in each circle is half of the day-measure.
The measure of the Sun's visual path area in the innermost circle is 47263 yojanas 21/60 parts. Using the above formula to know this: 5251 yojanas 29/60 parts.
(Sun's speed in one muhurta in the innermost circle) x 9 muhurtas (half of the day-measure) = 31508949
2835801 / 60 = 47263 yojanas 21/60 parts is the Sun's visual path area in the innermost circle.
**Another method to know the measure of the Sun's visual path area in the innermost circle**
Circumference of each circle x half of the day-measure
