[The Island of Pukhkaravara]
At that time, there is an island named Pukhkaravara in the ocean, which is circular in shape and completely surrounded on all sides.
Q. Is that island of Pukhkaravara circular or elliptical in shape?
A. That island of Pukhkaravara is circular, not elliptical.
Q. What is the diameter of that circular island of Pukhkaravara? What is its circumference?
A. It has a diameter of sixteen thousand yojanas.
Its circumference is one yojana kodi, eighty-nine thousand, eight hundred and forty-nine yojanas.
Verse:
One kodi, eighty-nine thousand,
Eight hundred and forty-nine,
Is the circumference of Pukhkaravara.
Q. On that island of Pukhkaravara,
1. How many moons shine, shone, or will shine?
2. How many suns rise, rose, or will rise?
3. How many great planets revolve, revolved, or will revolve?
4. How many constellations move, moved, or will move?
5. How many kodi-kodi stars shine, shone, or will shine?
A. 1. Forty-two hundred moons shine, shone, or will shine.
2. Forty-two hundred suns rise, rose, or will rise.
3. Twelve thousand, six hundred and sixty great planets revolve, revolved, or will revolve.
4. Four thousand and thirty-two constellations move, moved, or will move.
5. Sixteen thousand, forty-two thousand and four hundred kodi-kodi stars shine, shone, or will shine.

Forty-two hundred moons,
Forty-two hundred suns,
Shine on the island of Pukhkaravara.
