## Meaning related to Chandra-Surya-Pragyapti
This rare text, filled with virtues like humility and others, is given for the study of disciples who possess these qualities, for the benefit of the country and the times. The adjective "country-time-beneficial" is particularly noteworthy here.
In the Kalik and Utkalik Nandi Sutra, Gamik is called "Utkalik" and Agamik is called "Kalik".
Dristivad is Gamik. The third division of Dristivad is Purvagat. The Jyotishganaraj-Pragyapti (Chandra-Pragyapti-Surya-Pragyapti) is derived from this Purvagat, as known from the third verse of the Uththani of Chandra-Pragyapti.
The Angas and Upangas are related to each other. All of them are Agamik, therefore they are all Kalik. According to the same Nandi Sutra, Chandra-Pragyapti is Kalik and Surya-Pragyapti is Utkalik.
Except for a few prose and verse sutras, all the sutras of Chandra-Pragyapti and Surya-Pragyapti are exactly the same. So, on what basis are one considered Kalik and the other Utkalik?
If one of the Upangas is considered Kalik and the other Utkalik in these days, then it seems appropriate to believe that "all their sutras were not the same". In the cruel interval of time, some sutras of these Upangas have been lost and some have been scattered.
How much similarity is there in the original sutras of Chandra-Pragyapti and Surya-Pragyapti, which are originally different but have the same meaning? This is automatically known by observing both from beginning to end. But in the past, there was an explanation of all the sutras of Chandra-Pragyapti based on the moon and an explanation of all the sutras of Surya-Pragyapti based on the sun. It cannot be said how true this statement is, because it is not mentioned anywhere in any commentary, appointment, etc. If such a mention is found in any commentary, appointment, etc., then scholars should publish it.
It is not impossible for a single verse or a single verse to have multiple meanings. Dvisandhan, Panchasandhan, Saptasandhan, etc. poetry are available today. In these, different story-based commentaries on each verse can be seen. But in the context of Chandra-Pragyapti and Surya-Pragyapti, it does not seem appropriate to say different meanings without any strong evidence.
Jyotishshastra is considered to be Nimittshastra. Its expert can be successful in knowing Shabha-Shabha. The greatest curiosity of man is to know the future because he wants the coincidence of the desired and the success of the work.
Chandra-Pragyapti and Surya-Pragyapti are Upangas of the subject of Jyotish - although they have more mathematics and less fruit, yet the one who knows them perfectly is considered to be the knower of auspicious and inauspicious omens - this belief has been prevalent since ancient times.
Planets and stars are indicators of the future of all mankind, therefore they have a wide connection with human life.
