They rise in the east, move towards the south, until they set in the west, and rise in the east again.
On the day when the sun rises in the south on the Mandara mountain in the Dhāyisaṇḍa island, it sets in the north on the same day.
On the day when the sun rises in the north, it sets in the east-west direction on the Mandara mountain in the Dhāyisaṇḍa island.
The same is true for all the islands, from Jambudvīpa to Osappinī.
The same is true for the oceans, like the salt ocean.
In the Abbhantar-Pukkharaḍḍha island, the sun rises in the east, moves towards the south, until it sets in the west, and rises in the east again.
On the day when the sun rises in the south on the Mandara mountain in the Abbhantar-Pukkharaḍḍha island, it sets in the north on the same day.
On the day when the sun rises in the north, it sets in the east-west direction on the Mandara mountain in the Abbhantar-Pukkharaḍḍha island.
The same is true for all the islands, from Jambudvīpa to Osappinī.
