काकन्दी नगरी में भद्रा सार्थवाही का बहुमान था । भद्रा के पति का उल्लेख नहीं मिलता।
भद्रा के साथ लगा सार्थवाही विशेषण यह सिद्ध करता है कि वह साधारण व्यापार ही नहीं अपितु
. सार्वजनिक कार्यों में भी महत्त्वपूर्ण भाग लेती होगी और देश तथा परदेश में बड़े पैमाने पर व्यापार करती रही होगी। पंचधात्री
शिशु का लालन-पालन करने वाली पांच प्रकार की धाय माताएं ।
शिशु-पालन भी मानवजीवन की एक कला है। एक महान् दायित्व भी है। किसी शिशु को जन्म देने मात्र से माता-पिता का गौरव नहीं होता। माता-पिता का वास्तविक गौरव शिशु के लालन-पालन की पद्धति से ही आंका. जा सकता है।
