अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा कहने का तात्पर्य यह कि धन्य अनगार कर्मनिर्जरा के अनन्य कारण तपश्चरण में इस प्रकार तन्मय हो गए कि अपने शरीर से भी निरपेक्ष हो गए। उनको शरीर का मोह भी लेशमात्र नहीं रहा। उन्होंने कठोर से कठोर तप अंगीकार किये। अतः उनके किसी अङ्ग में भी मांस और रुधिर अवशिष्ट नहीं रहा। सर्वत्र केवल अस्थि, चर्म और नसाजाल ही देखने में आता था। सदेह होकर भी वे विदेह दशा प्राप्त करने में समर्थ हो गए। कटि, उदर एवं पसलियों आदि का वर्णन

धन्य अनगार की कटिपत्र (कमर) का तपस्याजनित रूप-लावण्य इस प्रकार का हो गया था— जैसे—ऊँट का पैर हो, बूढ़े बैल का पैरा हो और बूढ़े महिष (भैंसे) का पैर हो । उसमें अस्थि, चर्म और शिराएँ ही शेष रह गई थीं, मांस और शोणित उसमें नहीं रह गया था।
धन्य अनगार के उदर-भाजन (पेट) का तपोजन्य रूप-लावण्य इस प्रकार का हो गया था— जैसे सूखी क हो, चणकादि भूनने का खप्पर हो, आटा गूंदने की कठौती हो। इसी प्रकार धन्य अनगार का पेट भी सूख गया था। उसमें मांस और शोणित नहीं रह गया था।
धन्य अनगार की पसलियों का तपस्या के कारण लावण्य इस प्रकार का हो गया था— जैसे स्थासकों की आवली हो अर्थात् जैसे ढलान पर एक-दूसरे के ऊपर रक्खी हुई दर्पणों के आकार की पंक्ति हो, पाणावली हो अर्थात् एक-दूसरे पर रखे हुए पान-पात्रों (गिलासों) की पंक्ति हो, मुण्डावली अर्थात् स्थाणु-विशेष प्रकार के खूटों की पंक्ति हो। जिस प्रकार उक्त वस्तुएँ गिनी जा सकती हैं. उसी प्रकार धन्य अनगार की पसलियाँ भी गिनी जा सकती थीं। उनमें अस्थि, चर्म और शिराएँ ही शेष रह गई थीं। मांस और शोणित उनमें नहीं रह गया था।
