तच्चो वग्गो प्रथम अध्ययन
धन्य उत्क्षेप
१- जइ णं भंते ! समणेणं जावसंपत्तेणं अणुत्तरोववाइयदसाणं दोच्चस्स वग्गस्स अयमढे पण्णत्ते, तच्चस्स णं भंते ! वग्गस्स अणुत्तरोववाइयदसाणं समजेणं जाव' संपत्तेणं के अटे पण्णत्ते?
एवं खलु जंबू ! समणेणं जाव संपत्तेणं अणुत्तरोववाइयदसाणं तच्चस्स वग्गस्स दस अज्झयणा पण्णत्ता। तं जहा
धण्णे य सुणक्खत्ते य इसिदासे अ आहिए । पेल्लए रामपुत्ते च चंदिमा पिट्ठिमाइ य ॥ पेढालपुत्ते अणगारे नवमे पोट्ठिले वि य ।
वेहल्ले दसमे पुत्ते इमे य दस आहिया ॥ जइ णं भंते ! समणेणं जाव संपत्तेणं अणुत्तरोववाइयदसाणं तच्चस्स वग्गस्स दस अज्झयणा पण्णत्ता, पढमस्स णं भंते ! अज्झयणस्स समणेणं जाव' संपत्तेणं के अटे पण्णत्ते ?

___ सुधर्मास्वामी ने समाधान किया—जम्बू ! श्रमण यावत् निर्वाणसंप्राप्त भगवान् महावीर ने अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा के तृतीय वर्ग के दश अध्ययन कहे हैं, जो इस प्रकार हैं -
१. धन्यकुमार, २. सुनक्षत्र, ३. ऋषिदास, ४. पेल्लक, ५. रामपुत्र, ६. चन्द्रिक, ७. पृष्टिमातृक, ८. पेढालपुत्र, ९. पोष्टिल्ल, १०. वेहल्ल।
जम्बूस्वामी ने फिर पूछा- भन्ते ! यदि श्रमण यावत् निर्वाणसंप्राप्त भगवान् महावीर ने अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा के तृतीय वर्ग के दश अध्ययन कहे हैं, तो भन्ते ! श्रमण यावत् निर्वाणसंप्राप्त भगवान् महावीर ने अनुत्तरौपपातिकदशा के तृतीय वर्ग के प्रथम अध्ययन का क्या अर्थ कहा है ? धन्यकुमार
२–एवं खलु जंबू ! तेणं कालेणं तेणं समएणं कायंदी नामं नयरी होत्था, रिद्धस्थिमियसमिद्धा। सहसंबवणे उज्जाणे सव्वउउ जाव[पुष्फ-फल-समिद्धे] जियसत्तू राया।
