[१८७ चौड़ा सब ओर से खाई से घिरा हुआ किला था। चारों दिशाओं में अनेक प्रासाद और किले थे। राम-कृष्ण के प्रासाद के पास प्रभासा नामक सभा थी। उसके समीप पूर्व में रैवतक गिरि, दक्षिण में माल्यवान शैल, पश्चिम में सौमनस पर्वत और उत्तर में गंधमादन गिरि थे।३ ___आचार्य हेमचन्द्र, आचार्य शीलाङ्क, देवप्रभसूरि, आचार्य जिनसेन', आचार्य गुणभद्र आदि श्वेताम्बर व दिगम्बर ग्रन्थकारों ने तथा वैदिक हरिवंशपुराण, विष्णुपुराण और श्रीमद्भागवत११ आदि में द्वारका को समुद्र के किनारे माना है और कितने ही ग्रन्थकारों ने समुद्र से बारह योजन धरती लेकर द्वारका का निर्माण किया बताया है।
