कृष्ण ने कहा – 'देवानुप्रिये ! जैसे तुम्हें सुख हो वैसा करो । '
तब कृष्ण वासुदेव ने अपने आज्ञाकारी पुरुषों को बुलाकर इस प्रकार आदेश दियादेवानुप्रियो ! शीघ्र ही महारानी पद्मावती के दीक्षा महोत्सव की विशाल तैयारी करो और तैयारी हो जाने की मुझे सूचना दो। तब आज्ञाकारी पुरुषों ने वैसा ही किया और दीक्षा महोत्सव की तैयारी की सूचना दी।

एस णं भंते! मम अग्गमहिसी पउमावई नामं देवी इट्ठा कंता पिया मणुण्णा मणाभिरामा जाव [जीवियऊसासा हिययाणंदजणिया, उंबरपुष्पं पिव दुल्लहा सवणयाए] किमंग पुण पासणयाए ? तण्णं अहं देवाणुप्पिया! सिस्सिणिभिक्खं दलयामि । पडिच्छंतु णं देवाणुप्पिया! सिस्सिणिभिक्खं ।
'अहासुहं देवाणुप्पिया! मा पडिबंधं करेह ।'
इसके बाद कृष्ण वासुदेव ने पद्मावती देवी को पट्ट पर बिठाया और एक सौ आठ सुवर्ण कलशों से, [ एक सौ आठ रजत-कलशों से, एक सौ आठ सुवर्ण रजतमय कलशों से, एक सौ आठ मणिमय कलशों, एक सौ आठ स्वर्ण-मणि के कलशों, एक सौ आठ रजत-मणि के कलशों, एक सौ आठ स्वर्णरजत-मणि के कलशों और एक सौ आठ मिट्टी के कलशों से - इस प्रकार आठ सौ चौसठ कलशों में सब प्रकार का जल भर कर तथा सब प्रकार की मृत्तिका से, सब प्रकार के पुष्पों से, सब प्रकार के गंधों से, सब प्रकार की मालाओं से, सब प्रकार की औषधियों से तथा सरसों से उन्हें परिपूर्ण करके, सर्वसमृद्धि, द्युति तथा सर्व सैन्य के साथ, दुंदुभि के निर्घोष की प्रतिध्वनि के शब्दों के साथ उच्चकोटि के ] निष्क्रमणाभिषेक से अभिषिक्त किया। अभिषेक करके फिर सभी प्रकार के अलंकारों से विभूषित करके हजार पुरुषों द्वारा उठायी जाने वाली शिविका ( पालखी) में बिठाकर द्वारका नगरी के मध्य से होते हुए निकले और जहां रैवतक पर्वत और सहस्राम्रवन उद्यान था उस ओर चले। वहां पहुँच कर पद्मावती देवी शिविका से उतरी। तदनन्तर कृष्ण वासुदेव जहां अरिष्टनेमि भगवान् थे वहां आये, आकर भगवान् को दक्षिण तरफ से तीन बार प्रदक्षिणा करके वन्दना - नमस्कार किया, वन्दना - नमस्कार कर इस प्रकार बोले
