२७५. दसण्ह वि पण्णरसमे संवच्छरे वट्टमाणाणं चिंता।
दसण्ह वि वीसं वासाइं समणोवासय-परियाओ।। उपसंहार
दसों ही श्रमणोपासकों को पन्द्रहवें वर्ष में पारिवारिक, सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व से मुक्त हो कर धर्म-साधना में निरत होने का विचार हुआ। दसों ने बीस वर्ष तक श्रावक-धर्म का पालन किया।
२७६. एवं खलु जंबु! समणेणं जाव' संपत्तेणं सत्तमस्स अंगस्स उवासगदसाणं दसमस्स अज्झयणस्स अयमढे पण्णत्ते।।
आर्य सुधर्मा ने कहा-जम्बू! सिद्धिप्राप्त भगवान् महावीर ने सातवें अंग उपासकदशा के दसवें अध्ययन का यह अर्थ-भाव प्रज्ञप्त-प्रतिपादित किया।
२७७. उवासगदसाणंसत्तमस्स अंगस्स एगो सुय-खंधो। दस अज्झयणा एक्कसरगा, दससु चेव दिवसेसु उद्दिस्संति। तओ सुय-खंधो समुद्दिस्स। अणुण्णविजइ दोसु दिवसेसु अंगं तहेव।
॥ उवासगदसाओ समत्ताओ ॥ सातवें अंग उपासकदशा में एक श्रुत-स्कन्ध है । दस अध्ययन हैं। उनमें एक सरीखा स्वरपाठ-शैली है , गद्यात्मक शैली में ये ग्रथित हैं । इसका दस दिनों मे उद्देश किया जाता है । तत्पश्चात् दो दिनों में समुद्देश-सूत्र को स्थिर और परिचित करने का उद्देश किया जाता है और अनुज्ञासंमति दी जाती है। इसी प्रकार अंग का सुमुद्देश और अनुमति समझना चाहिए।
