[२०७ ॥ सत्तमस्स अंगस्स उवासगदसाणं दसमं अज्झयणं समत्त ॥ भगवान् महावीर श्रावस्ती में पधारे । समवसरण हुआ। आनन्द की तरह सालिहीपिता ने श्रावक-धर्म स्वीकार किया। कामदेव की तरह उसने अपने ज्येष्ठ पुत्र को पारिवारिक एवं सामाजिक उत्तरदायित्व सौंपा। भगवान् महावीर के पास अंगीकृत धर्मशिक्षा के अनुरूप स्वयं पोषधशाला में उपासनानिरत रहने लगा इतना ही अन्तर रहा-उसे उपासना में कोई उपसर्ग नहीं हुआ, पूर्वोक्त रूप में उसने ग्यारह श्रावक-प्रतिमाओं की निर्विघ्न आराधना की। उसका जीवन-क्रम कामदेव की तरह समझना चाहिए। देह-त्याग कर वह सौधर्म-देवलोक में अरूणकील विमान में देवरूप में उत्पन्न हुआ। उसकी आयुस्थिति चार पल्योपम की है। महाविदेह क्षेत्र में वह सिद्ध-मुक्त होगा।
