[उपासकदशांगसूत्र तामेव दिसिं पडिगए।
श्रमणोपासक कुंडकौलिक ने श्रमण भगवान् को वंदन-नमस्कार किया, प्रश्न पूछे, समाधान प्राप्त किया तथा जिस दिशा से वह आया था, उसी दिशा की ओर लौट गया।
१७८. सामी बहिया जणवय-विहारं विहरइ।

१७९. तए णं तस्स कुंडकोलियस्स समणोवासयस्स बहूहिं सील जाव भावेमाणस्स चोइस संवच्छराइं वइक्कंताई। पण्णरसमस्य संवच्छरस्स अंतरा वट्टमाणस्स अनया कयाइ जहा कामदेवो तहा जेट्ठपुत्तं ठवेत्ता तहा पोसहसालाए जाव' धम्मपण्णतिं उवसंपज्जित्ताणं विहरइ। एवं एक्कारस उवासग-पडिमाओ तहेव जाव' सोहम्मे कप्पे अरूणज्झए विमाणे जाव (से णं भंते! कुंडकोलिए ताओ देवलोगाओ आउक्खएणं भवक्खएणं, ठिइक्खएणं अणंतरं चयं चइत्ता कहिं गमिहिइ? कहिं उववजिहिइ? गोयमा! महाविदेहे वासे सिज्झिहिइ, (मुच्चिहिइ, सव्वदुक्खाण) अंतं काहिइ।
निक्खेवो ॥ सत्तमस्स अंगस्स उवासगदसाणं छठें अज्झयणं समत्तं ॥ तदन्तर श्रमणोपासक कुंडकौलिक को व्रतों की उपासना द्वारा आत्म-भावित होते हुए चौदह वर्ष व्यतीत हो गए। जब पन्द्रहवां वर्ष आधा व्यतीत हो चुका था, एक दिन आधी रात के समय उसके मन में विचार आया, जैसा कामदेव के मन में आया था। उसी की तरह बड़े पुत्र को अपने स्थान पर नियुक्त कर वह भगवान् महावीर के पास अंगीकृत धर्म-प्रज्ञप्ति के अनुरूप पोषधशाला में उपासनारत रहने लगा। उसने ग्यारह उपासक-प्रतिमाओं की आराधना की। आगे का वत्तान्त भी कामदेव जैसा ही है। अन्त में देह-त्याग कर वह अरूणध्वज विमान में देवरूप में उत्पन्न हुआ (भगवन् ! कुंडकौलिक उस देवलोक से आयु, भव एवं स्थिति का क्षय होने पर देव-शरीर का त्याग कर कहाँ जायगा? कहाँ उत्पन्न होगा? गौतम! वह महाविदेह क्षेत्र में सिद्ध, बुद्ध एवं मुक्त होगा, वह दुःखों का) अन्त करेगा।
॥निक्षेप ॥ ॥ सातवें अंग उपासकदशा का छठा अध्याय समाप्त ॥
