१६४. सेसं जहा चुलणीपियस्स जाव' सोहम्मे कप्पे अरूणसिद्धे विमाणे उववन्ने । चत्तारि पलिओ माई ठिई । सेसं तहेव जाव ( से णं भंते! चुल्लसयए ताओ देवलोगाओ आउक्खणं, भवक्खएणं, ठिइक्खएणं अनंतरं चयं चइत्ता कहिं गमिहिइ ? कहिं उववज्जिहि ? गोयमा ! ) महाविदेहे वासे सिज्झिहि ।
निक्खेवो
॥ सत्तमस्स अंगस्स उवासगदसाणं पंचमं अज्झयणं समत्तं ॥
आगे की घटना चुलनीपिता की तरह है । देह त्याग कर चुल्लशतक सौधर्म देवलोक में अरूण-सिद्ध विमान में देव के रूप में उत्पन्न हुआ। वहां उसकी आयुस्थिति चार पल्योपम की बतलाई गई । आगे की घटना भी वैसी ही है। (भगवन्! चुल्लशतक उस देवलोक से आयु, भव एवं स्थिति का क्षय होने पर देव - शरीर का त्याग कर कहां जायगा ? कहां उत्पन्न होगा? गौतम !) वह महाविदेहक्षेत्र में सिद्ध होगा - मोक्ष प्राप्त करेगा ।

२. एवं खलु जम्बू ! समणेणं जाव संपत्तेणं पंचमस्स अज्झयणस्स अयमट्ठे पण्णत्तेत्ति बेमि ।
३. निगमन - - आर्य सुधर्मा बोले -- जम्बू ! श्रमण भगवान् महावीर ने उपासकदशा के पांचवें अध्ययन का यही अर्थभाव कहा था, जो मैंने तुम्हें बतलाया है ।
