[समवायाङ्गसूत्र ५०२-धायइखंडे णं दीवे चत्तारि जोयणसयसहस्साई चक्कवालविक्खंभेणं पण्णत्ते। ४०००००।
धातकीखण्ड द्वीप चक्रवालविष्कम्भ की अपेक्षा चार लाख योजन चौड़ा कहा गया है।
५०३-लवणस्सणं समुद्दस्स पुरच्छिमिल्लाओ चरमंताओ पच्चच्छिमिल्ले चरमंते एसणं पंच जोयणसयसहस्साई अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णत्ते।५०००००।
लवणसमुद्र के पूर्वी चरमान्त भाग से पश्चिमी चरमान्त भाग का अन्तर पाँच लाख योजन है।
विवेचन-जम्बूद्वीप एक लाख योजन विस्तृत है। उसके सभी ओर लवणसमुद्र दो-दो लाख योजन विस्तृत है। अत: जम्बूद्वीप का एक लाख तथा पूर्वी और पश्चिमी लवणसमुद्र का विस्तार दो-दो लाख, ये सब मिलाकर (१+२+२=५) पाँच लाख योजन का सूत्रोक्त अन्तर सिद्ध हो जाता है।
५०४-भरहे णं राया चाउरंतचक्कवट्टी छपुव्वसयसहस्साइं रायमझे वसित्ता मुंडे भवित्ता अगाराओ अणगारियं पव्वइए। ६०००००।
चातुरन्तचक्रवर्ती भरत राजा छह लाख पूर्व वर्ष राजपद पर आसीन रह कर मुंडित हो अगार से अनगारिता में प्रव्रजित हुए।

इस जम्बूद्वीप की पूर्वी वेदिका के अन्त से धातकीखण्ड के चक्रवाल-विष्कम्भ का पश्चिमी चरमान्त भाग सात लाख योजन के अन्तर वाला है।
विवेचन-जम्बूद्वीप का एक लाख योजन, लवणसमुद्र के पश्चिमी चक्रवाल का दो लाख योजन और धातकीखण्ड के पश्चिमी भाग का चक्रवाल विष्कम्भ चार लाख योजन, ये सब मिलाकर (१+२+४=७) सात लाख योजन का सूत्रोक्त अन्तर सिद्ध हो जाता है।
