[ समवायाङ्गसूत्र
विवेचन- - इस भिक्षुप्रतिमा के पालन करने में नौ-नौ दिन के नव-नवक अर्थात् इक्यासी दिन लगते हैं। प्रथम नौ दिनों में प्रतिदिन एक-एक भिक्षादत्ति ग्रहण की जाती है। दूसरे नौ दिनों में प्रतिदिन दो-दो भिक्षादत्तियां ग्रहण की जाती हैं। इस प्रकार प्रत्येक नौ-नौ दिनों में एक-एक भिक्षादत्ति को बढ़ाते हुए नौवें नौ दिनों में प्रतिदिन नौ-नौ भिक्षादत्तियाँ ग्रहण की जाती हैं। उन सब का योग (९+१८+२७+३६+४५+५४+६३+७२+८१ = ४०५) चार सौ पाँच होता है। गोचरीकाल के सिवाय शेष समय मौनपूर्वक आगम की आज्ञानुसार आत्माराधन में व्यतीत किया जाता है।

३८० - कुंथुस्स णं अरहओ एक्कासीतिं मणपज्जवनाणिसया होत्था । विवाहपन्नत्तीए एकासीति महाजुम्मसया पण्णत्ता ।
कुन्थु अर्हत् के संघ में इक्यासी सौ (८१००) मन:पर्ययज्ञानी थे । व्याख्याप्रज्ञप्ति में इक्यासी महायुग्मशत कहे गये हैं ।
विवेचन – यहाँ ' शत' शब्द से अध्ययन का ग्रहण करना चाहिए। वे कृतयुग्म, द्वापरयुग्म आदि अनेक राशि के विचार रूप अन्तराध्ययनरूप आगम से जानना चाहिए।

३८१ - जंबुद्दीवे [ णं ] दीवे वासीयं मंडलसयं जं सूरिए दुक्खुत्तो संकमित्ता णं चारं चरइ । तं जहा - निक्खममाणे य पविसमाणे य ।
इस जम्बूद्वीप में सूर्य एक सौ व्यासीवें मंडल को दो बार संक्रमण कर संचार करता है। जैसें— एक बार निकलते समय और दूसरी बार प्रवेश करते समय ।

विवेचन - सूर्य के संचार करने के मंडल (१८४) एक सौ चौरासी हैं। इनमें से सबसे भीतर जम्बूद्वीप वाले मंडल पर और सबसे बाहरी लवणसमुद्र के मंडल पर तो वह एक-एक बार ही संचार करता है। शेष सभी मंडलों पर दो-दो बार संचार करता है – एक बार उत्तरायण के समय प्रवेश करते हुए और दूसरी बार दक्षिणायण के समय निष्क्रमण करते हुए । इस सूत्र में व्यासीवें स्थानक की अपेक्षा इसका निरूपण किया गया है। दूसरी बात यह ज्ञातव्य है कि यद्यपि जम्बूद्वीप के ऊपर सूर्य के केवल पैंसठ ही मंडल होते हैं, फिर भी यहाँ धातकीखंड आदि के निराकरण करने के लिए तथा इसी द्वीप-सम्बन्धी सूर्य के संचार क्षेत्र की विवक्षा से उन सभी मंडलों को 'जम्बूद्वीप' पद से उपलक्षित किया गया है।
३८२ - समणे णं भगवं महावीरे वासीए राइदिएहिं वीइक्कंतेहिं गब्भाओ गब्धं साहरिए । श्रमण भगवान् महावीरं व्यासी रात-दिन बीतने के पश्चात् देवानन्दा ब्राह्मणी के गर्भ से शिला क्षत्रियाणी के गर्भ में संहृत किये गये ।
३८३ - महाहिमवंतस्स णं वासहरपव्वयस्स उवरिल्लाओ चरमंताओ सोगंधियस्स कंडस्स हेट्ठिल्ले चरमंते एस णं वासीइं जोयणसयाइं अबाहाए अंतरे पण्णत्ते । एवं रुप्पिस्स वि ।

**381:** In this Jambudvipa, or in any island, the sun traverses one hundred circles (mandala-sayam) twice. For example, once when it is leaving and once when it is entering.

Of these, it travels only once through the innermost circle of Jambudvipa and the outermost circle of the Lavana-samudra. It travels through all the other circles twice - once when entering during the Uttarayana and once when exiting during the Dakshinayana. This sutra describes this in relation to the 81st sthānak.
