[१२१ षष्टिस्थानक-समवाय ३०९-एगमेगे णं मंडले सूरिए सट्ठिए सट्ठिए मुहुत्तेहिं संघाएइ। सूर्य एक एक मण्डल को साठ-साठ मुहूर्तों से पूर्ण करता है।
विवेचन-सूर्य को सुमेरु की एक वार प्रदक्षिणा करने में साठ मुहूर्त या दो दिन-रात लगते हैं। यतः सूर्य के घूमने के मंडल एक सौ चौरासी हैं, अतः उसको दो से गुणित करने पर (१८४४२-३६८) तीन सौ अड़सठ दिन-रात आते हैं। सूर्य संवत्सर में इतने ही दिन-रात होते हैं।
३१०-लवणस्स णं समुद्दस्स सर्टि नागसाहस्सीओ अग्गोदयं धारंति।
लवणसमुद्र के अग्रोदक (सोलह हजार ऊंची वेला के ऊपर वाले जल) को साठ हजार नागराज धारण करते हैं।
३११-विमले णं अरहा सटुिं धणूइं उड्ढं उच्चत्तेणं होत्था। विमल अर्हन् साठ धनुष ऊंचे थे।
३१२-बलिस्स णं वइरोयणिंदस्स सर्टि सामाणियसाहस्सीओ पण्णत्ताओ। बँभस्स णं देविंदस्स देवरन्नो सढिं सामाणियसाहस्सीओ पण्णत्ताओ।
बलि वैरोचनेन्द्र के साठ हजार सामानिक देव कहे गये हैं। ब्रह्म देवेन्द्र देवराज के साठ हजार सामानिक देव कहे गये हैं।
३१३-सोहम्मीसाणेसु दोसु कप्पेसु सटुिं विमाणावाससयसहस्सा पण्णत्ता। सौधर्म और ईशान इन दो कल्पों में साठ (३२+२८=६०) लाख विमानावास कहे गये हैं।

एकषष्टिस्थानक-समवाय ३१४-पंचसंवच्छरियस्स णं जुगस्स रिउमासेणं मिज्जमाणस्स इगसट्ठि उउमासा पण्णत्ता। पंचसंवत्सर वाले युग के ऋतु-मासों से गिनने पर इकसठ ऋतुमास होते हैं। ३१५-मंदरस्स णं पव्वयस्स पढमे कंडे एगसट्ठिजोयणसहस्साई उड्ढे उच्चत्तेणं पण्णत्ते। मन्दर पर्वत का प्रथम काण्ड इकसठ हजार योजन ऊंचा कहा गया है। ३१६-चंदमंडले णं एगसट्ठिविभागविभाइए समंसे पण्णत्ते। एवं सूरस्स वि।
चन्द्रमंडल विमान एक योजन के इकसठ भागों में विभाजित करने पर पूरे छप्पन भाग प्रमाण सम-अंश कहा गया है। इसी प्रकार सूर्य भी एक योजन के इकसठ भागों से विभाजित करने पर पूरे अड़तालीस भाग प्रमाण सम-अंश कहा गया है। अर्थात् इन दोनों के विस्तार का प्रमाण ५६ और ४८ इस सम संख्या रूप ही है, विषम संख्या रूप नहीं है और न एक भाग के भी अन्य कुछ अंश अधिक या हीन भाग प्रमाण ही उनका विस्तार है।
