[समवायाङ्गसूत्र धर्म-चिन्ता को चित्त-समाधि का प्रथम स्थान कहने का कारण यह है कि इसके होने पर ही धर्म का परिज्ञान और आराधन सम्भव है।
जैसा पहले कभी नहीं देखा, ऐसे याथातथ्य (भविष्य में यथार्थ फल को देने वाले) स्वप्न का देखना चित्त-समाधि का दूसरा स्थान है (२)।
जैसा पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा पूर्व भव का स्मरण करने वाला संज्ञिज्ञान (जातिस्मरण) होना यह चित्त-समाधि का तीसरा स्थान है। पूर्व भव का स्मरण होने पर संवेग और निर्वेद के साथ चित्त में परम प्रशमभाव जागृत होता है (३)।
जैसा पहले कभी नहीं हुआ, ऐसा देव-दर्शन होना, देवों की दिव्य वैभव-परिवार आदिरूप ऋद्धि को देखना, देवों की दिव्य द्युति (शरीर और आभूषणादि की दीप्ति) का देखना और दिव्य देवानुभाव (उत्तम विक्रियादि के प्रभाव) को देखना यह चित्त-समाधि का चौथा स्थान है, क्योंकि ऐसा देव-दर्शन होने पर धर्म में दृढ़ श्रद्धा उत्पन्न होती है (४)।।
जो पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा लोक (मूर्त पदार्थों को) प्रत्यक्ष जानने वाला अवधिज्ञान उत्पन्न होना यह चित्त-समाधि का पांचवा स्थान है। अवधिज्ञान के उत्पन्न होने पर मन में एक अपूर्व शान्ति और प्रसन्नता प्रकट होती है (५)।
जो पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा लोक को प्रत्यक्ष देखने वाला अवधिदर्शन उत्पन्न होना यह चित्त-समाधि का छठा स्थान है (६)।
जो पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा [अढ़ाई द्वीप-समुद्रवर्ती संज्ञी, पंचेन्द्रिय पर्याप्तक] जीवों. के मनोगत भावों को जानने वाला मनःपर्ययज्ञान उत्पन्न होना यह चित्त-समाधि का सातवां स्थान है (७)।
__जो पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा सम्पूर्ण लोक को प्रत्यक्ष [त्रिकालवर्ती पर्यायों के साथ] जाननेवाला केवलज्ञान उत्पन्न होना यह चित्त-समाधि का आठवां स्थान है (८)।
जो पहले कभी उत्पन्न नहीं हुआ, ऐसा [सर्व चराचर] लोक को देखने वाला केवल-दर्शन उत्पन्न होना, यह चित्त-समाधि का नौवां स्थान है (९)।
सर्व दुःखों के विनाशक केवलिमरण से मरना यह चित्त-समाधि का दशवां स्थान है (१०)।
इसके होने पर यह आत्मा सर्व सांसारिक दुःखों से मुक्त हो सिद्ध बुद्ध होकर अनन्त सुख को प्राप्त हो जाता है।
