विशेष कार्य सिद्धि। ऐसा होने पर भी यह तो स्थिर है कि, पहिले गिनाये गये हैं उनमें व उनमेंके अमुक अमुक दिनोंमें बादशाहने अपने समस्त राज्यमें जीवहिंसाका निषेध किया था । उन दिनोंमें स्वयं बादशाह भी मांसा. हार नहीं करता था। इस बातको अन्यान्य जैनेतर लेखकोंने भी माना है । बंकिमचंद्र लाहिडीने अपने ' सम्राट् अकबर' नामक बंगाली ग्रंथमें लिखा है:
___“सम्राट् रविवारे, चंद्र ओ सूर्यग्रहणदिने एवं आर ओ अन्यान्य अनेक समये कोन मांसाहार करितेन ना। रविवार ओ आर ओ कतिपय दिने पशुहत्या करिते सर्व साधारणके निषेध करिया छिलेन ।”
अर्थात् -सम्राट् रविवारके दिन, चंद्र और सूर्यग्रहणके दिन और अन्य भी कई अन्यान्य दिनोंमें मांसाहार नहीं करता था । रविवार और अन्यान्य कई दिनोंमें उसने सर्वसाधारणमें पशुहत्यानिषेधकी मुनादी करवा दी थी।
इसी तरह अकबरका सर्वस्व गिना जानेवाला; अकबरके साथ रातदिन रहनेवाला शेख अबुल्फ़ज़ल अपनी पुस्तक 'आईन-इ-अकबरी' में लिखता है:
___“ Now, it is his intention to quit it by degrees, conforming, however, a little to the spirit of the age. His Majesty abstained from meat for some time on fridays, and then on Sundays; now on the first day of every solar month, on Sundays, on solar and lunar eclipses, on days between two fasts, on the Mondays of the months of Rajab, on the feastday of the every solar month, during the whole month of Farwardin and during the month, in which His Majesty was born, viz, the month of Aban.
