द्वितीय अध्ययन [३२
'अभू जिणा अस्थि जिणा, अदुवावि भविस्सई ।
मुसं ते एवमाहंसु' इइ भिक्खू न चिन्तए ॥४५॥ निश्चित रूप से परलोक नहीं है और तपस्वियों को ऋद्धि भी प्राप्त नहीं होती है अथवा मैं तो धर्म के नाम पर ठगा गया हूँ-साधु ऐसा चिन्तन न करे ॥४४॥ ___ वर्तमान काल में जिन (अरिहंत देव) हैं, भूतकाल में जिन हुए थे अथवा आगामी काल में जिन होंगेऐसा जो कहते हैं, वे मिथ्यावादी हैं; साधु ऐसा विचार न करे ॥४५॥ 22. Faith Trouble
Indeed, there is no life to come, nor an exalted state (TS) which can be acquired by penances; or I have been deceived by the name of religion-the ascetic should have no thoughts like this. (44)
___ Jinas were, are, would be in future, all this is humbug, utter lie.' Mendicant should not think like this. (45)
एए परीसहा सव्वे, कासवेण पवेइया । जे भिक्खू न विहन्नेज्जा, पुट्ठो केणइ कण्हुई ॥४६॥
-त्ति बेमि ये सभी परीषह काश्यय गोत्रीय श्रमण भगवान महावीर ने बताए हैं। इन्हें जानकर, कहीं भी, किसी भी परीषह के उपस्थित होने पर भिक्षु इनसे पराजित न हो, इन सभी परीषहों पर विजय प्राप्त करे ॥४६॥
-ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ। All these troubles have been prescribed by Kaśyapa Gotriya Śramana Bhagavana Mahāvīra. Knowing all these, the mendicant being afflicted by any or many of these troubles at a time, should not be overwhelmed by them but overcome them. (46) -Such I speak
