अणन्तकालमुक्कोसं, एवं समयं जहन्नयं । अजीवाण य रूवीणं, अन्तरेयं वियाहियं ॥ १४॥
रूपी अजीव द्रव्यों का अन्तर जघन्य एक समय और उत्कृष्ट असंख्यात काल का है। ( अन्तर का अभिप्राय है- अपने प्रतिनियत पूर्वावगाहित स्थान से चलकर पुनः उसी स्थान पर पहुँचने के मध्य अन्तराल का समय | ) ||१४||
Non-soul substances possessing form have the interval of one samaya and maximum of innumerable time. (Here the word interval means gap. A molecule or a atom moves from a particular space-point and it comes back to the same space-point-the time in between it takes, is interval or antara.) (14)
वण्णओ गन्धओ चेव, रसओ फासओं तहां । संठाणओ य विन्नेओ, परिणामो तेसि पंचहा ॥ १५ ॥
स्कन्ध आदि का परिणमन - (१) वर्ण की अपेक्षा से (२) गन्ध की अपेक्षा से (३) रस की अपेक्षा से (४) स्पर्श की अपेक्षा से और (५) संस्थान की अपेक्षा से पाँच प्रकार का जानना चाहिए ॥१५॥
The changes of molecules should be known by ( 1 ) colour ( 2 ) smell, (3) taste, (4) touch and (5) form (15)
वण्णओ परिणया जे उ, पंचहा ते पकित्तिया । किण्हा नीला य लोहिया, हालिद्दा सुक्किला तहा ॥ १६ ॥
वर्ण से जो ( स्कन्ध आदि रूपी अजीव - पुद्गल) परिणत होते हैं, वे पाँच प्रकार के कहे गये हैं - ( १ ) कृष्ण (२) नील (३) लोहित (लाल) (४) हारिद्रं (पीत) और ( ५ ) श्वेत- शुक्ल ||१६||
The molecules of non-soul possessing form are changed by the attribute of colour, these are of five kinds-(1) black (2) blue (3) red (4) yellow and (5) white. (16)
गन्धओ परिणया जे उ, दुविहा ते वियाहिया । सुभिगन्धपरिणामा, दुब्भिगन्धा तहेव य ॥१७॥
जो ( स्कन्ध आदि) पुद्गल गन्ध से परिणत होते हैं, वे दो प्रकार के कहे गये हैं- (१) सुरभिगन्ध परिणमन और (२) दुरभिगन्ध परिणमन ||१७||
The molecules of matter changed by the attribute of smell are twofold (1) pleasant smell and (2) unpleasant or foul smell (17)
रसओ परिणया जे उ, पंचहा ते पकित्तिया ।
तित्त- कडुय-कसाया, अम्बिला महुरा तहा ॥ १८ ॥
जो (पुद्गल) रस से परिणत हैं, वे पाँच प्रकार के कहे गये हैं- ( १ ) तिक्त - तीखा या चरपरा, (२) कटुक-कड़वा, (३) कषायला (४) अम्ल - खट्टा और (५) मधुर - मीठा || १८ ||
The molecules of matter change by the attribute of taste are fivefold - (1) bitter ( 2 ) pungent (3) astringent (4) sour and (5) sweet. (18)
