एकोनविंश अध्ययन [२४०
As sage Mrgāputra renounced the worldly pleasures in young age, in the same way enlightened, awakened, wise and proficient persons abandon the amusements. (97)
महापभावस्स महाजसस्स, मियाइ पुत्तस्स निसम्म भासियं ।
तवप्पहाणं चरियं च उत्तम, गइप्पहाणं च तिलोगविस्सुयं ॥९८॥ मृगा रानी के महान प्रभावशाली तथा महायशस्वी पुत्र -ऋषि मृगापुत्र के तपोप्रधान त्रिलोक विश्रुत एवं मुक्तिरूपी प्रधान गति वाले उत्तम चरित्र के वर्णन को सुनकर-॥९८॥
The most glorious and magnanimous son of queen Mțga, hearing the widely known in three worlds penanceful conduct of great sage Mrgaputra and the excellent conduct capable to attain the supreme existence i.e., salvation-(98)
वियाणिया दुक्खविवद्धणं धणं, ममत्तबंध च महब्भयावहं । सुहावहं धम्मधुरं अणुत्तरं, धारेह निव्वाणगुणावहं महं ॥९९॥
-त्ति बेमि । धन को दुःख बढ़ाने वाला और ममता के बंधन को महाभयंकर जानकर, निर्वाण के गुणों-मोक्ष को प्राप्त कराने वाली, अनन्त सुख को प्राप्त कराने वाली अनुत्तर धर्म की धुरा को धारण करो ॥१९॥
-ऐसा मैं कहता हूँ। Know the wealth as enhancer of agonies and the tie of mineness (affection-myness) as great ferocious; retain the axis of supreme religion which is capable to attain the salvationvirtues and endless supreme soul-bliss. (99)
