जैसे सामाजिकों-किसान, व्यापारियों का भण्डार सुरक्षित एवं विभिन्न प्रकार के धान्यों से भरा-पूरा रहता है उसी तरह बहुश्रुत भी अनेक प्रकार के श्रुत से परिपूर्ण होता है ॥२६॥ ___As the store-houses of farmers and merchants (traders) well-guarded and filled with various types of grains; so the learned sage is full of many kinds and branches of learning and knowledge. (26)
जहा सा दुमाण पवरा, जम्बू नाम सुदंसणा ।
अणाढियस्स देवस्स, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए ॥२७॥ जिस प्रकार अनाधृत देव का निवास स्थान सुदर्शन जम्बू वृक्ष सभी वृक्षों में श्रेष्ठ होता है, उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी श्रेष्ठ होता है ॥२७॥
As the abode of Anádhstra deity, the Jambù tree is the best of all trees; so the learned sage is supreme of all. (27)
जहा सा नईण पवरा, सलिला सागरंगमा ।
सीया नीलवन्तपवहा, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए ॥२८॥ जिस प्रकार नीलवंत वर्षधर पर्वत से निकली, सदैव जल से परिपूर्ण, सागर में मिलने वाली सीता नदी अन्य नदियों से श्रेष्ठ है उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी सर्वश्रेष्ठ होता है ॥२८॥
As the Sitä river arising from Nilavanta Varsadhara mountain and flowing upto ocean, always filled with water is the best river in comparison to other rivers; so is the deep learned supreme. (28)
जहा से नगाण पवरे, सुमहं मन्दरे गिरी ।
नाणोसहिपज्जलिए, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए ॥२९॥ जैसे अनेक प्रकार की औषधियों से दीप्त, महान मन्दरगिरि-मेरु पर्वत सभी पर्वतों में श्रेष्ठ माना जाता है उसी तरह बहुश्रुत भी श्रेष्ठ माना जाता है ॥२९॥
As the Mandara Giri-the mountain Meru, lustrous with many kinds of plants and herbs, accepted as the best of all mountains; so is the very best the learned sage. (29)
जहा से सयंभूरमणे, उदही अक्खओदए ।
नाणारयणपडिपुण्णे, एवं हवइ बहुस्सुए ॥३०॥ जिस प्रकार अक्षय जल से भरा-पूरा तथा अनेक रत्नों से परिपूर्ण स्वयंभूरमण समुद्र श्रेष्ठ है उसी प्रकार बहुश्रुत भी श्रेष्ठ ज्ञान रनों से परिपूर्ण होता है ॥३०॥
As the Swayambhū ramaņa ocean, filled with inexhaustible water and full of many kinds of jewels and precious stones; so the best learned sage is full of various types of knowledgejewels. (30)
समुद्दगम्भीरसमा दुरासया, अचक्किया केणइ दुप्पहंसया । सुयस्स पुण्णा विउलस्स ताइणो, खवित्तु कम्मं गइमुत्तमं गया ॥३१॥
