नवम अध्ययन [९४
एयमळं निसामित्ता, हेऊकारण-चोइओ ।
तओ नमी रायरिसी, देविन्दं इणमब्बवी-॥३३॥ देवेन्द्र के इस कथन को सुन, हेतु-कारण से प्रेरित नमि राजर्षि ने इन्द्र से कहा-॥३३॥
Hearing this, the royal sage Nami pursuing his reasons and arguments, replied the king of gods by these words--(33)
जो सहस्सं सहस्साणं, संगामे दुज्जए जिणे ।
एगं जिणेज्ज अप्पाणं, एस से परमो जओ ॥३४॥ दुर्जय संग्राम में जो दस लाख योद्धाओं को जीत लेता है उसकी अपेक्षा सच्चा वीर वही है जो अपनी आत्मा को जीत लेता है। आत्मविजय ही सच्ची विजय है ॥३४॥
A warrior who wins thousands and thousands valiants in dreadful battle, campared to him the true brave is he who wins his own soul (filled with passions and amusements). Winning one's own soul is the real (true) victory. (34)
अप्पाणमेव जुज्झाहि, किं ते जुज्झेण बज्झओ ?
अप्पाणमेव अप्पाणं, जइत्ता सुहमेहए ॥३५॥ स्वयं अपनी आत्मा से ही युद्ध करना चाहिए, बाह्य युद्ध से क्या लाभ है ? आत्मा से आत्मा को जीतने पर ही सच्चा सुख प्राप्त होता है ॥३५॥
One should fight against one's own soul by own self. What is the use of external fight. Winning the soul by own soul, the true happiness obtained. (35)
पंचिन्दियाणि कोहं, माणं मायं तहेव लोहं च ।
दुज्जयं चेव अप्पाणं, सव्वं अप्पे जिए जियं ॥३६॥ पाँचों इन्द्रियाँ, क्रोध-मान-माया-लोभ और मन-ये सभी दुर्जेय हैं। एक अपनी आत्मा को जीत लेने से इन सब पर विजय प्राप्त हो जाती है ॥३६॥ ____Five senses (hearing, sight, smell, taste and touch), four passions-anger, pride, deceit and greed and mind all (ten) these are too difficult to conquer. And to subjugate mind is a most difficult task. But by winning own self, these all are winned easily. (36)
एयमझें निसामित्ता, हेऊ कारण-चोइओ ।
तओ नमिं रायरिसिं, देविन्दो इणमब्बवी-॥३७॥ नमि राजर्षि के इस कथन को सुन, हेतु-कारण से प्रेरित देवेन्द्र ने नमि राजर्षि से इस प्रकार कहा-॥३७॥
Hearing this reply of royal seer Nami, the ruler of gods pursuing his arguments and reasons spoke these words-(37)
'जइत्ता विउले जन्ने, भोइत्ता समणमाहणे ।
दच्चा भोच्चा य जिट्ठा य, तओ गच्छसि खत्तिया ! ॥३८॥' Jain Educatio International
