Kritamalak and Nrityamalak angels reside there. They possess great wealth, brightness, strength, glamour, comfort and good fortune. Their life-span is one palyopam.
The land of those forest areas is very much levelled and beautiful. On the two sides of Vaitadhya mountain there are the colonies of Vidyadhar, each of which is 10 yojan high. They are long in east-west direction and wide in north-south direction. Their width is 10 yojan and length is the same as that of the mountain. They are surrounded by forest land and lotus like structures (Vedikas) in both sides. These Vedikas are half a yojan high, 500 dhanush wide and in length same as the mountain. The length of the forest region is that of the Vedikas. Their description may be understood as mentioned earlier. (The shape can be seen clearly in the enclosed pictures.) १४. [प्र. ] विजाहरसेढीणं भंते ! भूमीणं केरिसए आयारभावपडोयारे पण्णत्ते ?
[उ.] गोयमा ! बहुसमरमणिज्जे भूमिभागे पण्णत्ते, से जहाणामए आलिंगपुक्खरेइ वा जाव णाणाविहपंचवण्णेहिं मणीहि, तणेहिं उवसोभिए, तं जहा-कित्तिमेहिं चेव अकित्तिमेहिं चेव। तत्थ णं कपिणिल्लाए विज्जाहरसेढीए गगणवल्लभपामोक्खा पण्णासं विज्जाहरणगरावास पण्णत्ता, उत्तरिल्लाए कियाइरसेढीए रहनेउरचक्कवालपामोक्खा सर्टि विज्जाहरणगरावासा पण्णत्ता, एवामेव सपुव्वावरेणं प्रणिल्लाए, उत्तरिल्लाए विज्जाहरसेटीए एगं दसुत्तरं विज्जाहरणगरावाससयं भवतीतिमक्खायं, ते शिल्पाहरणगरा रित्थिमियसमिद्धा, पमुइयजणजाणवया।
तेतु णं विज्जाहरणगरेसु विज्जाहररायाणो परिवसंति महयाहिमवंतमलयमंदरमहिंदसारा रायवण्णओ माणिअबो।
१४. [प्र.] भगवन् ! विद्याधर श्रेणियों की भूमि का आकार/स्वरूप कैसा है ?
[उ. ] गौतम ! उनका भूमिभाग बड़ा समतल रमणीय है। वह मुरज के ऊपरी भाग आदि की ज्यों समतल है। वह बहुत प्रकार की कृत्रिम अकृत्रिम मणियों तथा तृणों से सुशोभित है। दक्षिणवर्ती विद्याधर श्रेणी में गगनवल्लभ आदि पचास विद्याधर-नगर हैं-उत्तरवर्ती विद्याधर श्रेणी में रथनूपुर चक्रवाल आदि साठ नगर-राजधानियाँ हैं। इस प्रकार दक्षिणवर्ती एवं उत्तरवर्ती-दोनों विद्याधर श्रेणियों के नगरों की-राजधानियों की संख्या एक सौ दस है। वे विद्याधर-नगर वैभवशाली, सुरक्षित एवं समृद्ध हैं। वहाँ के निवासी समृद्ध नगरों की सभी सुविधा व साधनों से सम्पन्न थे। यावत् उन नगरों की शोभा प्रतिरूप मन में बस जाने वाली है। ___ उन विद्याधर नगरों में विद्याधर राजा निवास करते हैं। वे महाहिमवान् पर्वत के सदृश महत्ता तथा मलय, मेरु एवं महेन्द्र संज्ञक पर्वतों के समान प्रधानता या विशिष्टता लिए हुए हैं।
