Thereafter army chief Sushen took his bath and performed usual exercises. He put collyrium in his eyes to beautify his physical body. He put a mark (tilak) on his forehead. He performed auspicious ceremony with sandal paste, curd, akshat and the like in order to remove the faults if any. He then took his meals in a splendid regal manner. He then came to the rest house. He then sprinkled nectar of gosheersh sandalwood on his body and came to his residence. There the drums were being beaten. Young damsels were performing dances of thirty two types. They were entertaining the army chief with the dances of his choice and the like. The tune of the flute, the drum and the like was in harmony with the songs being sung in that dramatical performance. A resonant sound was coming with the beat of the drums. The musicians were expert in their art. Thus Sushen, the army chief was enjoying all the five types of sensual pleasures namely those of touch, sound, sight, smell and taste in accordance with his taste and liking.

६९. तए णं से भरहे राया अण्णया कयाई सुसेणं सेणावई सद्दावेइ सद्दावित्ता एवं वयासी - गच्छ गं खिप्पामेव भो देवाणुप्पि ! तिमिसगुहाए दाहिणिल्लस्स दुवारस्स कवाडे विहाडेहि विहाडित्ता मम एअमत्तिअं पच्चप्पिणाहि त्ति ।
तसे सुसेसेणावई भरहेणं रण्णा एवं वुत्ते समाणे हट्टतुट्ठचित्तमाणंदिए जाव करयलपरिग्गहिअं सिरसावत्तं मत्थए अंजलिं कट्टु जाव पडिसुणेइ पडिसुणित्ता भरहस्स रण्णो अंतियाओ पडिणिक्खमइ पडिणिक्खमित्ता जेणेव सए आवासे जेणेव पोसहसाला तेणेव उवागच्छइ उवागच्छित्ता दब्भसंथारगं संथरइ कयमालस्स देवस्स अट्ठमभत्तं पगिण्हइ, पोसहसालाए पोसहिए बंभयारी जाव (सूत्र ५०वत्) अट्ठमभत्तंसि परिणममाणंसि पोसहसालाओ पडिणिक्खमइ २ त्ता जेणेव मज्जणघरे तेणेव उवागच्छइ २ त्ता ण्हाए कयबलिकम्मे कयकोउअ - मंगलपायच्छित्ते सुद्धप्पवेसाई मंगलाई वत्थाई पवरपरिहिए अप्पमहग्घाभरणालंकियसरीरे धूवपुप्फ- गंध - मल्ल - हत्थगए मज्जणघराओ पडिणिक्खमइ २ त्ता जेणेव तिमिसगुहा दाहिणिल्लरस दुवारस्स कवाडा तेणेव पहारेत्थ गमणाए ।
तए णं तस्स सुसेणस्स सेणावइस्स बहवे राईसर - तलवर - माडंबिअ जाव सत्थवाहप्पभिइओ अप्पेगइआ उप्पलहत्थगया जाव सुसेणं सेणावई पिट्ठओ २ अणुगच्छंति । तए णं तस्स सुसेणस्स सेणावइस्स बहूईओ खुज्जाओ चिलाइ आओ जाव इंगिअ - चितिअ - पत्थि अ - विआणिआओ णिउणकुसलाओ विणीआओ अप्पेगइआओ कलसहत्थगयाओ अणुगच्छंतीति ।
तए णं से सुसेणे सेणावई सव्विद्धीए सव्वजुईए जाव णिग्घोसणाइएणं जेणेव तिमिसगुहाए दाहिणिल्लस्स दुवारस्स कवाडा तेणेव उवागच्छइ २ त्ता आलोए पणामं करेइ २ त्ता लोमहत्थगं परामुसइ
