KING KUNIK OF CHAMPA
11. (a) In Champa lived its ruler king Kunik.
His stature was as lofty as the great Himalayas. He had many unique qualities like those of Malaya, Meru and Mahendra mountains. He belonged to an ancient and distinguished royal family. Every part of his body bore auspicious marks suited to a monarch. He commanded respect and adoration of many. He was richly endowed with qualities like integrity and valour. He was a true Kshatriya (the warrior or the regal caste), the defender of masses from attack and adversity. He had a charming and pleasing personality. He was installed and crowned as a monarch by the kingdom he inherited as well as many other subordinate kingdoms. He was a worthy son of noble parents.

११. ( ख ) दयपत्ते, सीमंकरे, सीमंधरे, खेमंकरे, खेमंधरे, मणुस्सिंदे, जणवयपिया, जणवयपाले, जणवयपुरोहिए, सेउकरे, केउकरे, णरपवरे, पुरिसवरे, पुरिससीहे, पुरिसवग्धे, पुरिसासीविसे, पुरिसपुंडरीए, पुरिसबरगंधहत्थी, अड्डे, दित्ते, वित्ते ।
११. (ख) वह राजा स्वभाव से दयालु था । मर्यादाओं की स्थापना करने वाला तथा उनका पालन करने वाला था । वह क्षेमंकर- प्रजा के लिए अनुकूल स्थितियाँ उत्पन्न करने वाला तथा क्षेमंधर- उन्हें स्थिर रखने वाला था । वह विपुल ऐश्वर्य के कारण मनुष्यों में इन्द्र के समान मान्य था। वह अपने जनपद के लिए पितृतुल्य प्रतिपालक, प्रजा के हित को आगे रखने वाला, कुमार्गगामियों को सन्मार्ग पर लाने वाला, अच्छे कार्यों को करने वाला था । वह नरप्रवर- वैभव, सेना, शक्ति आदि की दृष्टि से मनुष्यों में श्रेष्ठ तथा पुरुषवर - धर्म, अर्थ, काम, मोक्ष रूप चार पुरुषार्थों में उद्यमशील, परमार्थ - चिन्तन के कारण पुरुषों में श्रेष्ठ था । कठोरता व पराक्रम में वह सिंहतुल्य, रौद्रता में बाघ के तुल्य तथा अपने क्रोध को सफल बनाने के सामर्थ्य में सर्पतुल्य था । वह पुरुषों में उत्तम पुण्डरीक - सबके लिए सुखदायी तथा सेवाशील जनों के लिए श्वेत कमल जैसा सुकुमार था । वह पुरुषों में गन्धहस्ती के समानअपने विरोधी राजा रूपी हाथियों का मान-मर्दन करने वाला था । वह समृद्ध, दृप्त-दर्प या प्रभावयुक्त तथा वित्त या वृत्त - स्वदेश व स्व-धर्म के पालन में सुप्रसिद्ध था।
