वावी-पुक्खरिणी-दीहियासु य सुनिवेसियरम्म-जालहरए पिंडिमणीहारिमं सुगंधिं सुहसुरभिमणहरं च महया गंधद्धणिं मुयंता, णाणाविहगुच्छ-गुम्म-मंडवग-घरगसुहसेउकेउबहुला, अणेगरह-जाण-जुग्ग-सिविय-पविमोयणा। ___ सुरम्मा, पासादीया, दरिसणिज्जा अभिरूवा पडिरूवा।
४. (ग) वे वृक्ष भीतर से फूलों और फलों से लदे थे तथा बाहर पत्तों से ढके थे। वे पत्तों और फूलों से सर्वथा आच्छादित थे। उनके फल स्वादिष्ट, नीरोग तथा काँटों से रहित थे। वे तरह-तरह के फलों के गुच्छों, लता-कुंजों तथा मण्डपों द्वारा रमणीय और शोभित थे। उनके ऊपर भिन्न-भिन्न प्रकार की सुन्दर ध्वजाएँ फहराती थीं।
उस वनखण्ड में चौकोर, गोल तथा लम्बी बावड़ियों में जाली-झरोखेदार सुन्दर भवन बने थे। दूर-दूर तक जाने वाली सुगन्ध के परमाणुओं के कारण वे वृक्ष अपनी सुन्दर महक से लोगों के मन को हर लेते थे। उनकी सुगन्ध अत्यन्त तृप्ति देने वाली थी। इस प्रकार यह क्षेत्र अनेकानेक पुष्पगुच्छ, लताकुंज, मण्डप, विश्राम-स्थान आदि से युक्त था। वहाँ पताकाएँ
लगी थीं। अनेक मार्ग बने थे। सुन्दर वन-क्रीड़ा के लिए आने के लिए रथों, वाहनों, डोलियों ॐ तथा पालखियों के ठहरने के लिए उपयुक्त विस्तीर्ण स्थान थे। १ इस प्रकार के वृक्ष रमणीय, मनोरम, दर्शनीय, अभिरूप-मन को अपने में रमा लेने वाले
तथा प्रतिरूप-मन में बस जाने वाले थे। ___4. (c) Under a dense cover of leaves the trees were richly laden with fruits. They were completely covered with leaves and flowers. The fruits in these trees were delicious, uncontaminated and free of thorns. These dangling bunches of a variety of fruits, groves and canopies of creepers made that area beautiful and attractive. It appeared as if different types of flags were furling over the trees.
There were square, round and oblong water tanks with steps reaching down the water level and surrounded by beautiful 9 buildings with lattice windows and carved stone grills. These trees
attracted people with the far reaching sweet fragrance that they emitted. This fragrance was very pleasing and satisfying. Thus this area abounded in trees, flower beds, groves, creepers, canopies and a resting places. It was embellished with many flags and had many pathways. There were large vacant areas for parking of chariots, carriers, litters and palanquins belonging to the visitors.
