* १०१. भगवन् ! अम्बड़ देव अपना आयु-क्षय (देव सम्बन्धी आयुष्य), भव-क्षय (देव
भव के हेतु कर्मों की निर्जरा) तथा स्थिति-क्षय होने पर उस देवलोक से च्यवन कर कहाँ । जायेगा? कहाँ उत्पन्न होगा? ___101. Bhante ! After concluding his life-span (ayu-kshaya), the akarmas causing specific birth (bhava-kshaya) and the realm* specific state (sthiti-kshaya) where will he go from the realm of gods * (dev-lok) ? Where will he reincarnate ?
१०२. गोयमा ! महाविदेहे वासे जाइं कुलाई भवंति-अड्डाई, दित्ताइं, वित्ताई, वित्थिण्ण-विउल भवण-सयणासण-जाण-वाहणाइं, बहुधण-जायरूव-रययाई, आओग-पओगसंपउत्ताई विच्छड्डिय-पउरभत्तपाणाई, बहुदासी-दास
गोमहिसगवेलगप्पभूयाइं, बहुजणस्स अपरिभूयाई, तहप्पगारेसु कुलेसु पुमत्ताए * पच्चायाहिति।
१०२. गौतम ! महाविदेह क्षेत्र में ऐसे कुल हैं, जो धनाढ्य हैं, दीप्त, प्रभावशाली एवं * सम्पन्न हैं, भवन, शयन, आसन, यान, वाहन, विपुल साधन-सामग्री तथा सोना, चाँदी, * सिक्के आदि प्रचुर धन से सम्पन्न होते हैं। वे नीतिपूर्वक धन के उपार्जन व सम्यक् नियोजन " में कुशल होते हैं। उनके यहाँ (इतना प्रभूत भोजन बनता है कि) भोजन कर चुकने के बाद
भी खाने-पीने के बहुत पदार्थ बचते हैं। उनके घरों में बहुत से नौकर, नौकरानियाँ, गायें, भैंसे, बैल, पाड़े, भेड़-बकरियाँ आदि होते हैं। वे अन्य लोगों द्वारा अपरिभूत अर्थात् इतने प्रभावशाली होते हैं कि कोई उनका तिरस्कार या अपमान करने का साहस नहीं कर पाता।
अम्बड़ (देव) ऐसे कुलों में से किसी एक में पुरुष रूप में उत्पन्न होगा। ___102. Gautam ! In the Mahavideh area there are clans that are
affluent, brilliant, influential and wealthy. They are rich in terms of " buildings, furniture, vehicles, cattle and abundance of other me resources as well as wealth including gold, silver and coins. They
are accomplished in earning and investing wealth honestly. In their * kitchens (so much food is cooked that) even after they eat, a large * quantity of food is left. They have a large number of servants,
maids, cows, buffalos, goats, sheep etc. They are so influential that no one dares insult or offend them. Ambad will be re-born as a male child in one of these clans.
