* मनुष्यों में सिंह के समान शौर्यशाली अपने आश्रित जनों का पालन-पोषण करने के
कारण उनका स्वामी, मनुष्यों में इन्द्र के समान परम ऐश्वर्यशाली, मनुष्यों में श्रेष्ठ वृषभ
के समान धीर, सहिष्णु (अथवा मनुष्यों में राजाओं का भी राजा चक्रवर्ती-उत्तर * भरतार्ध साधने में प्रवृत्त होने से चक्रवर्ती जैसा) राजा के योग्य ऐश्वर्य लक्ष्मी से दीप्तिमान
लग रहा था, श्रेष्ठ हाथी पर आरूढ़ हुआ। फिर उसने छत्र धारण किया, जिस पर कोरंट पुष्प (श्वेत पुष्पों) की मालाएँ लटक रही थीं। उसके दोनों पसवाड़े श्वेत चँवर डुलाये जा रहे थे। उस समय उसकी यह शोभा वैश्रमण कुबेर के समान, नरपति-चक्रवर्ती राजा के समान, अमरपति-देवराज इन्द्र के तुल्य लग रही थी। उसकी समृद्धि की कीर्ति चारों तरफ फैली थी। वह अश्व, हस्ति, रथ और पदाति सेना-इस प्रकार चतुरंगिनी सेना साथ लिए उसके आगे-आगे पूर्ण भद्र चैत्य की तरफ भगवान महावीर को वन्दना करने लिए प्रस्थित हुआ। KUNIK'S MAJESTIC APPEARANCE ____50. And then followed king Kunik, the son of Bhambhasar. His chest was adorned with necklaces, his face gleamed with the shining ear-rings, and on his head glittered his crown. He was valorous as if a lion among men. Being a generous provider he was the master of his subjects. Due to his unlimited wealth and grandeur he enjoyed the status of Indra (the king of gods) among men. Like a bull among men, he was patient and tolerant. As his
reign extended to the north Bharat he was like an emperor or the the king of many kings. Scintillating with all this grandeur he rode the the best of elephants. He had over his head an umbrella decorated with
garlands of Korant flowers. Whisks were being waved on his flanks. At that moment he appeared resplendent as Vaishraman Kuber (the god of wealth), a chakravarti (emperor), and Indra, the king of gods. The fame of his grandeur had spread all around. Accompanied up
by the four pronged army, he commenced his journey in the en direction of Purna Bhadra Chaitya for paying homage to Bhagavan een
Mahavir. -- ५१. तए णं तस्स कूणियस्स रण्णो भंभसारपुत्तस्स पुरओ महं आसा, आसवरा, उभओ पासिं णागा, णागवरा, पिट्ठओ रहसंगेल्लि।
