जे इमे भवंति उग्गपुत्ता महामाउया जाव पुमत्ताए पच्चायंति तत्थ णं समणोवासए भविस्सामि । अभिगय-जीवाजीवे जाव उवलद्ध-पुण्ण-पावे फासुयएसणिज्जं असणं पाणं खाइमं साइमं पडिलाभेमाणे विहरिस्सामि । से तं साहू |

एवं खलु श्रमण ! आयुष्मन् ! मया धर्मः प्रज्ञप्तस्तच्चैव सर्वं यावत् । स च पराक्रमन् दिव्य मानुषकेषु काम भोगेषु निर्वेदं गच्छेत्, मानुषकाः काम-भोगा अधुवा यावद् विप्रहेयाः, दिव्या अपि खलु काम-भोगा अधुवा अनित्या अशाश्वता-श्चलाचलधर्माणः पुनरागमनीयाः पश्चात्पूर्वञ्च न्ववश्यं विप्रहेयाः । सन्त्यस्य तपोनियमादेर्यावदागमिष्यति य इमे भवन्त्युग्रपुत्रा महामातृका यावत्पुंस्त्वेन प्रत्यायान्ति तत्र श्रमणोपासको भविष्यामि (भूयासम् ), अभिगतजीवाजीव उपलब्ध-पाप-पुण्यो यावत्प्रासुकैषणीयमशनं पानं खादिमं स्वादिमं प्रतिलाभयन् विहरिष्यामि । तदेतत्साधु ।
पदार्थान्वयः - समणाउसो-हे आयुष्मन् ! श्रमण ! एवं खलु - इस प्रकार निश्चय से ए - मैंने धम्मे-धर्म पण्णत्ते - प्रतिपादन किया है तं चैव सव्वं शेष सब पूर्ववत् ही है जाव-यावत् से य- वह फिर परक्कममाणे - संयम मार्ग में पराक्रम करते हुए दिव्वमाणुस एहिं - देव और मनुष्य सम्बन्धी कामभोगेहिं-काम-भोगों में निव्वेदं गच्छेज्जा-वैराग्य-प्राप्ति करे, माणुसगा - मनुष्यों के कामभोगा - काम-भोग खलु - निश्चय
अधुवा - अनिश्चित हैं जाव- यावत् विप्पजहणिज्जा-त्यागने योग्य हैं दिव्वावि-देव-सम्बन्धी भी कामभोगा-काम-भोग खलु निश्चय से अधुवा-अनियत हैं अणितिया - अनित्य हैं असासया- अशाश्वत अर्थात् विनाशशील हैं चलाचलणधम्मा-चलाचल धर्म वाले अर्थात् अस्थिर हैं पुणरागमणिज्जा- - बार - २ आते रहते हैं अतः पच्छा-मृत्यु के बाद च-या पुव्वं - बुढ़ापे से पहले अवस्सं अवश्य विप्पजहणिज्जा - त्याज्य हैं अतः यदि इमस्स- इस तवनियमस्स - तप और नियम का जाव - यावत् फल- विशेष संति-हैं तो आगमेस्साणं - आगामी काल में जे–जो इमे—ये उग्गपुत्ता- उग्र-पुत्र महामाउया - महामातृक भवंति - हैं जाव-यावत् उनके किसी एक कुल में पुमत्ताए - पुरुष - रूप से पच्चायंति - उत्पन्न होते हैं तत्थ णं-वहां
