एयारूवाइं-इस प्रकार के दिव्वाइं-दिव्य, देव-सम्बन्धी भोग-भोगाई-भोगने योग्य भोगों को भुंजमाणो-भोगते हुए विहरामो-विचरें । से तं-यही साधु-साधु-श्रेष्ठ है।
मलार्थ-ऊर्ध्व देव-लोकों में देव हैं | उनमें से एक तो अन्य देवों की देवियों को वश में करके उनको उपभोग में प्रवृत्त कराते हैं, दूसरे अपनी ही आत्मा से वैक्रिय रूप बनाकर उनको उपभोग में प्रवृत्त कराते हैं, तीसरे अपनी ही देवियों को भोगते हैं । सो यदि इस तप, नियम का कुछ विशेष फल है तो हम भी आगामी काल में इस प्रकार के देव-सम्बन्धी भोगों को भोगते हुए विचरें । यह हमारा विचार सर्वोत्तम है । शेष सब वर्णन पूर्ववत् ही जानना चाहिये ('यावत्' शब्द कितनी ही बार आ चुका है, यह पूर्व-वर्णन का सूचक है) ।
टीका-इस सूत्र में देवों के परिचार (मैथुन-क्रीड़ा) का विषय वर्णन किया है । कुछ देवता तो अन्य देवों की देवियों को अपने वश में करते हैं और वश में कर उनको मैथुन के लिये उद्यत कराते हैं । दूसरे अपनी आत्मा से वैक्रिय करके अर्थात् देवी की विकुर्वणा करके उनसे मैथुन करते हैं । इसका व्याख्यान टीकाकार इस प्रकार करते हैं-"आत्मनैवात्मानं स्त्रीपुरुषरूपतया विकृत्येत्यर्थः” अर्थात् अपनी ही आत्मा को स्त्री और पुरुष दो भिन्न आकृतियों में परिवर्तन करके काम-चेष्टा करते हैं । किन्तु 'भगवती' सूत्र में लिखा है कि एक ही समय में एक जीव दो वेदों-स्त्री पुरुष सम्बन्धी उपभोग की इच्छाओं का अनुभव नहीं कर सकता । सो इस विषय में परम्परा से यही प्रसिद्धि चली आती है कि पुरुष तो पुरुषलिङ्ग की विकुर्वणा-शारीरिक परिवर्तन करते हैं और उनकी आत्मीया देविया स्त्रीलिङ्ग की, और इस प्रकार वे परस्पर मैथुन-उपभोग में प्रवृत्त होते हैं । यह तत्त्व बहुश्रुत-गम्य है । एक देव ऐसे हैं जो अपनी देवियों के साथ उक्त उपभोग कर सन्तुष्ट रहते हैं |
देवों के इस प्रकार के स्वेच्छा-पूर्वक आनन्द-विहार को देखकर निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थियों के चित्त में यह विचार उत्पन्न हुआ कि देव ही धन्य हैं । अतः यदि हमारे इस तप-नियम का कोई विशेष फल है तो हम भी भविष्य में इन्हीं देव-सम्बन्धी तीन प्रकार की काम-क्रीड़ाओं का उपभोग करते हुए विचरें ।
