दशाश्रुतस्कन्धसूत्रम्
पदार्थान्वयः-एवं खलु - इस प्रकार निश्चय से, समणाउसो - हे आयुष्मन् ! श्रमण ! णिग्गंथे-निर्ग्रन्थ णिदाणं-निदान कर्म किच्चा - कर तस्स - उस ठाणस्स - स्थान के विषय में अणालोइय - गुरु से बिना आलोचन किये और स्थान से अप्पडिक्कंते - बिना पीछे हटे और अपडिवज्जित्ता - अपने इस दोष को बिना अंगीकार किये कालमासे - मृत्यु के समय कालं किच्चा-काल करके अण्णतरेसु-किसी एक देवलोएसु-देव-लोक में देवत्ताए - देवरूप से उववत्तारो भवति - उत्पन्न होता है से णं-वह तत्थ-उस देव-लोक में देवों के साथ देवे-देव भवति -होता है महिड्दिए- अत्यन्त ऐश्वर्य वाला जाव - यावत् देवताओं के साथ विहरति- विचरण करता है । स य और फिर वह ताओ- उस देवलोगाओ - देव - लोक होने के कारण जाव - यावत् अनंतरं - बिना अन्तर के चयं - देव - शरीर को चइत्ता - छोड़कर अण्णतरंसि - किसी एक कुलंसि कुल में दायित्ताए - कन्या रूप से पच्चायाति - उत्पन्न होता है ।
दशमी दशा
मूलार्थ - हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! इस प्रकार निर्ग्रन्थ निदान-कर्म करके और उस समय बिना गुरु से उसके विषय में आलोचना किये हुए, बिना उससे पीछे हटे और बिना अपने दोष को स्वीकार किये हुए या बिना प्रायश्चित्त धारण किये मृत्यु के समय काल करके किसी एक देव-लोक में देव रूप से उत्पन्न होता है । वह वहां देवों के बीच में ऐश्वर्यशाली देव होकर विचरता है । तदनन्तर वह आयु और देव-भव के क्षय होने के कारण बिना अन्तर के देव-शरीर को छोड़कर किसी एक कुल में कन्या - रूप से उत्पन्न हो जाता है ।
टीका - जिस साधु ने स्त्रीत्व का निदान - कर्म किया हो वह उससे पीछे न हटे तो वह मृत्यु के अनन्तर देव - लोक में चला जाता है । जब उसके देव - लोक की आयु के कर्म समाप्त हो जाते हैं तो फिर वह मनुष्य-लोक के किसी श्रेष्ठ कुल में कन्या - रूप से उत्पन्न हो जाता है । शेष सब स्पष्ट ही है:
सूत्रकार फिर इसी से सम्बन्ध रखते हुए विषय को कहते हैं:
जाव तेणं तं दारियं जाव भारियत्ताए दलयति । सा णं तस्स भारिया भवति एगा एगजाया जाव तहेव सव्वं भाणियव्वं ।

Thus, by doing Nirgrantha Nidana-karma and at that time without consulting the Guru about it, without retreating from it and without accepting your fault or without taking atonement, at the time of death, making time, you are born in some one Deva-loka in the form of a Deva. There, he wanders among the Devas as a wealthy Deva. Thereafter, due to the exhaustion of his lifespan and Deva-bhavana, he leaves the Deva-body without any interval and is born in some one Kula in the form of a daughter.
