हिन्दीभाषाटीकासहितम् ।
सिक्खाए - शिक्षा के लिए उवट्ठिए-उपस्थित होकर विहर-माणे- विचरता हुआ निग्गंथे-निर्ग्रन्थ पुरा दिगिंच्छाए- पूर्व बुभुक्षा (भूख) से जाव - यावत् काम-भोगों की इच्छा के उदय होने पर भी परक्कममाणे- -पराक्रम करता हुआ पासेज्जा - देखे इमा-यह इत्थिया - स्त्री भवति है एगा - एक एग-जाया - सपत्नी रहित ( और दास-दासियों से परिवृत ) है जाव- यावत् वे दास प्रार्थना में हैं कि ते- आपके आसगस्स - मुख को किं-क्या सदति-अच्छा लगता है । जं - उसको पासित्ता - देखकर निग्गंथे-निर्ग्रन्थ णिदाणं-निदान कर्म करेति - करता है ।

मूलार्थ - हे आयुष्मन् श्रमण ! इस प्रकार मैंने धर्म प्रतिपादन किया है | यह निर्ग्रन्थ-प्रवचन सब दुःखों का विनाश करने वाला है । जिस धर्म की शिक्षा के लिए उपस्थित होकर विचरता हुआ निर्ग्रन्थ चिन्ता से पूर्व भूख आदि परीषहों को सहन करता हुआ और पराक्रम करता हुआ देखता है कि यह स्त्री अकेले ही अपने घर का ऐश्वर्य लूट रही है, इसकी कोई सपत्नी (सौकन) नहीं है । इसके दास और दासियां हमेशा इसकी प्रार्थना करते हैं कि आपके मुख को कौनसा पदार्थ रुचिकर है । उसको देखकर निर्ग्रन्थ निदान कर्म करता है ।

टीका - इस सूत्र में भी पिछला वर्णन रूपान्तर से कहा गया है । श्री भगवान् कहते हैं "हे आयुष्मन् ! श्रमण ! मैंने श्रुत और चारित्र रूप धर्म का वर्णन किया है । इस धर्म की शिक्षा के लिए उपस्थित होकर परीषहों को सहन करता हुआ निर्ग्रन्थ यदि किसी पुण्य - पुञ्ज से लदी हुई और इसी कारण से सम्पूर्ण सांसारिक सुखों का अनुभव करती हुई किसी स्त्री को देखे, जो चारों ओर से दास और दासियों से घिरी हो, जिसके एक दास या दासी को बुलाने पर चार-पांच बिना बुलाये उपस्थित हो जायँ और उसके मुख से निकली हुई आज्ञा की प्रतीक्षा में रहें, जो अपने पति की प्राण-प्यारी और उसकी यथोचित पालना में उसको देखकर निग्रन्थ निदान कर्म करता है ।
अब सूत्रकार इस निदान कर्म का विषय कहते हैं:
दुक्खं खलु पुमत्ता जे इमे उग्गपुत्ता महामाउया भोगपुत्ता महामाउया एतेसिं णं अण्णतरेसु उच्चावएसु महा-समरसंगामेसु

**Sikkhae** - Having arisen for the sake of education, **vihar-mane** - wandering, **nigganth** - liberated, **pura diginchhae** - with previous hunger, **jav** - as long as the desire for worldly pleasures arises, **parakkammane** - being valiant, **pasejja** - sees, **ima** - this, **itthia** - woman, **bhavathi** - is, **ega** - one, **egg-jaya** - without a co-wife (and surrounded by servants), **jav** - as long as those servants are in prayer, **te** - your, **asagass** - mouth, **kin** - what, **sadati** - pleases. **Jan** - seeing her, **nigganth** - liberated, **nidaan** - karmic, **kareti** - does.

**Mulaarth** - O venerable ascetic! Thus I have expounded the Dharma. This liberated discourse destroys all suffering. The liberated one, having arisen for the sake of education, wanders, enduring previous hunger and other trials with fortitude, and sees a woman who alone enjoys the wealth of her home, without a co-wife. Her servants and maidservants constantly pray, "What pleases your mouth?" Seeing her, the liberated one performs karmic action.

**Tika** - This sutra also describes the previous narrative in a transformed way. The Lord says, "O venerable ascetic! I have described the Dharma in the form of scripture and conduct. If the liberated one, having arisen for the sake of education, endures trials and sees a woman laden with merit and therefore experiencing all worldly pleasures, surrounded by servants and maidservants, where four or five servants appear without being called when one is summoned, and who wait for the command from her mouth, who is the beloved of her husband and is seen by him to be properly cared for, the liberated one performs karmic action."
