दशमी दशा
त्यागकर जो ये महा-मातृक उग्र और भोग कुलों के पुत्र हैं उनमें से किसी एक के कुल में पुत्र-रूप से उत्पन्न होता है । ___टीका-इस सूत्र से ज्ञात होता है कि जब निर्ग्रन्थ उक्त उग्र और भोग पुत्रों को देखकर अपने चित्त में संकल्प करता है कि यदि मेरे ग्रहण किये हुए इस तप, संयम, नियम और ब्रह्मचर्य-व्रत का कोई विशेष फल है तो मैं भी समय आने पर अवश्य ऐसे सुखों का अनुभव करूंगा, और इस संकल्प के विषय में न तो गुरु से कोई आलोचना ही करता है और नांही अपनी भूल स्वीकार कर इस अनिष्ट्र कर्म की शुद्धि के लिये तप आदि से प्रायश्चित ही करता है तो उसका फल यह होता है कि मृत्यु के समय काल के वश होकर वह भवनपति, व्यंतर, ज्योतिष्क और वैमानिक किसी एक देव-योनि में महर्द्धिक देवों में देव-रूप से उत्पन्न हो जाता है । वहां वह स्वयं भी महर्द्धिक और चिर-स्थिति वाला बन जाता है । जब उसके देव-लोक में सञ्चित आयु, स्थिति और भव कर्म क्षय को प्राप्त हो जाते हैं तो वह बिना किसी अन्तर के देव शरीर को छोड़कर जो ये महा-मातृक उग्र और भोग कुलों के पुत्र हैं उनमें से किसी एक कुल में पुत्र-रूप से उत्पन्न हो जाता है ।
सूत्रकार फिर इसी से अन्वय रखते हुए कहते हैं:
से णं तत्थ दारए भवति सुकुमाल-पाणि-पाए जाव सुरूवे । तते णं से दारए उम्मुक्क-बालभावे विण्णाय-परिणयमित्ते णं अतिजायमाणस्स वा पुरओ जाव महं दासी-दास जाव किं ते. आसगस्स सदति।
स नु तत्र दारको भवति, सुकुमार-पाणि-पादो यावत् सुरूपः । ततो नु स दारक उन्मुक्त-बालभावो विज्ञान-परिणत-मात्रो यौवनकमनुप्राप्तः स्वयमेव पैतृकं प्रतिपद्यते । तस्य नु अतियातो (निर्यातः) वा पुरतो महद्दासी-दासा यावत्किं तवा-स्यकस्य स्वदते (इत्यादि) ।
