हिन्दीभाषाटीकासहितम् ।
पदार्थान्वयः - जस्स-जिस णं-वाक्यालङ्कारार्थ है धम्मस्स - धर्म की सिक्खाए - शिक्षा के लिए निग्गंथे-निर्ग्रन्थ उवट्ठिए-उपस्थित होकर विहरमाणे - विचरता हुआ पुरा - पूर्व दिगिंच्छा - भूख से पुरा- पहले पिवासाए- प्यास से पुरा - पहले वाताऽऽतवेहिं-वायु और आतप से पुरा - पूर्व पुट्टे-स्पृष्ट अथवा दुःखित होकर तथा विरूव-रूवेहिं - नाना प्रकार के परिसहोवसग्गेहिं- परिषह और उपसर्गों से पीड़ित होने से उदिण्ण कामजाए उसके चित्त में काम-वासनाओं का उदय हो जाय तथा वह इस प्रकार विहरिज्जा- विचरण करे किन्तु यह होते हुए भी से य- वह परक्कमेज्जा - संयम - मार्ग में पराक्रम करता है से य - वह फिर परक्कममाणे - संयम - मार्ग में पराक्रम करता हुआ उनको पासेज्जा - देखे जे - जो इमे - ये उग्गपुत्ता- उग्रकुल के पुत्र हैं महामाउया - जिनकी बड़ी कुलवती माता हैं। और उन को जो अण्णयरस्स- किसी एक को अतिजायमाणस्स - घर में आते हुए वा-अथवा निज्जायमाणस्स - घर से बाहर निकलते हुए जिसके पुरओ-आगे महं- बहुत से दासी - दासी दास-दास किंकर - किंकर कम्मकर-कर्मकर पुरिसाणं - पुरुषों के अंते-बीच में परिक्खित्तं - घिरा हुआ है और छत्त - छत्र भिंगारं-झारी गहाय - ग्रहण कर निग्गच्छंति-निकलते हुए को ( देखकर ) ।

मूलार्थ - जिस (निर्ग्रन्थ-प्रवचन) धर्म की शिक्षा के लिए उपस्थित हो कर विचरता हुआ साधु यदि भूख, प्यास, वात और आतप आदि परीषहों से पीड़ित हो और उसके चित्त में काम-विकारों का उदय हो जाय तब भी वह संयम मार्ग में पराक्रम करे और संयम मार्ग में पराक्रम करता हुआ भी महा-मातृक उग्रपुत्र और भोगपुत्रों को देखता है तथा उनमें से किसी एक को अनेक दास, दासी, किंकर और कर्मकर पुरुषों से घिरे हुए, छत्र और भृङ्गारक धारण कर घर से बाहर निकलते और घर में प्रवेश करते देखता है ।
टीका - इस सूत्र में प्रतिपादन किया गया है कि किन-किन को देखकर साधु निदान कर्म करता है । जो व्यक्ति निर्ग्रन्थ-प्रवचन - रूप धर्म ग्रहण करने, आसेवन करने तथा ज्ञान और आचार विषयक शिक्षा ग्रहण करने के लिए उपस्थित हुआ है और उन शिक्षाओं को उचित रीति से पालन भी करता है तथा जिसने एक बार सम्पूर्ण परीषहों को सहन कर लिया हो, अब यदि उसको परीषहों का अनुभव होने लगे और उसके चित्त में
