दशाश्रुतस्कन्धसूत्रम्
फलवृत्ति विशेष है तो हम भी दूसरे जन्म में इस प्रकार के श्रेष्ठ मनुष्य सम्बन्धी काम - भोगों को भोगते हुए विचरण करेंगे । यह हमारा चिन्तित विचार साधु अर्थात् श्रेष्ठ है । यही संकल्प उन साधुओं के चित्त में उस समय श्रेणिक राजा को देखकर उत्पन्न हुए ।
दशमी दशा
I
इस सूत्र "भोगभोगाई " आदि नपुंसक लिंग में दिये गए हैं । ये सब प्राकृत होने के कारण दोषाधायक नहीं हैं। क्योंकि "व्यत्ययश्च" सूत्र से प्राकृत में व्यत्यय विशेषता से होते हैं । "नैव मया दृष्टाः- अवलोकिता देवलोके - इत्येकवचनं साध्यवसायिकत्वाद् वक्तुरपेक्षया" इत्यादि ।
यहाँ शङ्का उत्पन्न हो सकती है कि भगवान् के समवसरण में साधुओं के चित्त में ऐसे संकल्प क्यों उत्पन्न हुए ? समाधान में कहा जाता है कि छद्मस्थता के कारण यदि ऐसा हो भी जाय तो कोई आश्चर्य नहीं ।
अब सूत्रकार वर्णन करते हैं कि चेल्लणादेवी को देखकर साध्वियों के चित्त में क्या-क्या विचार उत्पन्न हुए:
अहो णं चेल्लणादेवी महिड्ढिया जाव महा-सुक्खा जा णं हाया, कय-बलिकम्मा, जाव कय- कोउय-मंगल- पायच्छित्ता, जाव सव्वालंकार- विभूसिया सेणिएणं रण्णा सद्धिं उरालाई जाव माणुसगाई भोगभोगाइ भुंजमाणी विहरइ । न मे दिट्ठाओ देवीओ देवलोगंसि, सक्खं खलु इमा देवी । जइ इमस्स सुचरियस्स तव-नियम- बंभचेर- वासस्स कल्लाणे फलवित्ति-विसेसे अत्थि, वयमवि आग - मिस्साणं इमाई एयावाइं उरालाई जाव विहरामो । सेतं साहुणी ।
अहो नु चेल्लणादेवी महर्द्धिका यावत् महासुखा या स्नाता, कृत-बलिकर्मा, यावत्कृतकौतुक-मङ्गल-प्रायश्चित्ता यावत्सर्वालङ्कार- विभूषिता श्रेणिकेन राज्ञा सार्द्धमुदारान् यावद् मानुषकान् भोगभोगान् भुञ्जन्ती विहरति ।

In this sutra, "bhog-bhog-ai" etc. are given in the neuter gender. These are all Prakrit, and therefore not blameworthy. "Naiv maya drishta-avalochita dev-loke-ity-ek-vachanam sadhya-vasayik-tvad vakt-ur-apekshya" etc.

If there is a special fruit of merit in this good conduct, in the observance of vows, in the practice of brahmacharya, and in the observance of vows, then we too will wander in the next birth, enjoying such excellent human-related activities and pleasures. This is virtuous."
