हिन्दीभाषाटीकासहितम् ।
प्रवर्तक तित्थयरे-तीर्थों की स्थापना करने वाले जाव - यावत् संजमेण - श्रमण भगवं- भगवान् महावीरे - महावीर स्वामी पुव्वाणु-पुव्विं - अनुक्रम से चरेमाणे- विचरते हुए विहरति-विहार करते हुए यहां पहुंचे हैं ।

मूलार्थ - इसके अनन्तर महाराज श्रेणिक यान- शालिक से यह बात सुनकर और हृदय में अवधारण कर हर्षित और सन्तुष्ट हुआ । फिर उसने स्नानागार में प्रवेश किया और वहां से अच्छे वस्त्र और आभूषणों को पहन कर वह कल्पवृक्ष के समान सुशोभित होकर बाहर निकला । फिर चेल्लणादेवी के पास गया और कहने लगा- "हे देव- प्रिये ! धर्म के प्रवर्तक और चार तीर्थों के स्थापन करने वाले भगवान् महावीर स्वामी अनुक्रम से विहार करते हुए तथा संयम और तप से अपनी आत्मा की भावना करते हुए विचर रहे हैं" ।
टीका - इस सूत्र में वर्णन किया गया है कि महाराज श्रेणिक ने जब यान - शालिक से यानों के तय्यार होने का समाचार पाया तो चित्त में अत्यन्त प्रसन्न हुआ । वह तत्काल ही अत्यन्त सुसज्जित और परम रमणीय स्नानागार में गया। वहां उसने एक सुन्दर स्नान - पीठ पर बैठकर विधि- पूर्वक स्नान किया। स्नानागार से बाहर निकल कर वह सीधे श्रीमती महाराज्ञी चेल्लणादेवी के पास गया और कहने लगा- "हे देव - प्रिये ! श्रमण भगवान् महावीर स्वामी राजगृह नगर के बाहर गुणशील चैत्य में अपनी आत्मा की भावना करते हुए विचरण कर रहे हैं" ।
इस सूत्र में यह भी संक्षेप से ही वर्णन किया गया है । इसका विस्तृत वर्णन 'औपपातिकसूत्र' से ही जानना चाहिए ।
पुनः सूत्रकार इसी कारण से सम्बन्ध रखते हुए कहते हैं:
तं महम्फलं देवाणुप्पिए ! तहारूवाणं अरहंताणं जाव तं गच्छामो देवाणुप्पिए ! समणं भगवं महावीरं वंदामो नमसामो सक्कारेमो सम्माणेमो कल्लाणं मंगलं देवयं चेइयं पज्जुवासामो ।

**Original Meaning:** After this, Maharaj Shrenik, hearing this from the Yan-Shalik, and having determined it in his heart, was delighted and satisfied. Then he entered the bathhouse and from there, wearing fine clothes and ornaments, he emerged, adorned like a Kalpavriksha. Then he went to Chellan Devi and said, "O Beloved of the Gods! The founder of Dharma and the establisher of the four Tirthas, Bhagavan Mahavira Swami, is wandering in sequence, and while practicing restraint and austerity, he is dwelling with his soul."

**Commentary:** This Sutra describes how Maharaj Shrenik, upon hearing the news of the preparation of the chariots from the Yan-Shalik, was extremely pleased. He immediately went to the beautifully decorated and extremely pleasant bathhouse. There, he sat on a beautiful bathing platform and bathed according to the rituals. After coming out of the bathhouse, he went straight to Maharani Chellan Devi and said, "O Beloved of the Gods! Shraman Bhagavan Mahavira Swami is dwelling outside Rajgriha city, meditating in the virtuous Chaitya."

**Again, the Sutrakar, in relation to this, says:**

"O Dev-Anuppie! We will go to that great fruit, to those Arhants, O Dev-Anuppie! We will worship, bow down to, honor, and respect the Shraman Bhagavan Mahavira. We will wish for his well-being and prosperity. We will dwell in this way."
